00:00I managed to speak exclusively with the former Fence Minister Andrzej Sprudz yesterday regarding
00:05what exactly happened last week, the failings. He said that he takes full responsibility for
00:12that drone incursion. But let's take a listen to what he had to say regarding what he would
00:17have done differently next time. Well, it is not easy to have some kind of silver bullet. And I
00:23have expressed it always, that it is difficult to deal with drones which have lost its trajectory.
00:31And that's why I am realistic. And I've been always realistic. And I've been also communicating
00:37that there are some realistic constraints for what is possible to do. At the same time, yes,
00:43we are moving forward with our air defences. We are moving forward with learning from Ukrainians
00:47and creating those experiences. Critical part is here, certainly the communication society.
00:53So we need to communicate. This is also the lesson. Can you communicate more? Also communicate
00:57realistic solutions, what is expected and what we can do. It is important that we are
01:05closely cooperating with different other institutions because it is not just about defence sector.
01:10It is also about civil defence, municipalities and also the interior ministry and institutions
01:16are extremely important. So there is a spectrum of things which have to be done.
01:20Speaking of the eastern flank, of course, those countries that are on the front line of defence
01:25when it comes to Russian aggression, if it were to push past Ukraine, does this political crisis
01:31not create a chink in that armour?
01:34No, I don't think so. I think that we are united. And as I said, sometimes domestic challenges,
01:41it's not to say crisis happen. It is what we have democracy. And it's absolutely a good thing that, of
01:49course,
01:49we have the different approaches and diversity of opinions also within society and different expectations.
01:55And we, of course, also portray our parties, portray the interests of our societal groups.
02:03So that's why it is also the part and parcel of the democratic process.
02:08But I have full trust in our unity as a NATO allies and our support in Ukraine against Russian aggression.
02:18So this is what unites us and will be united. So I have no any doubts, despite some domestic turmoil
02:24and turbulence.
