00:00There was a strange feeling for Daniel Farker and Leeds United at the full-time whistle at the Etihad.
00:07Having conceded an injury-time goal that saw Pep Guardiola's side win 3-2, Leeds were naturally disappointed.
00:13But, having come back from 2-0 down to be level at 2-2, there were real positives to take from the White's second-half performance.
00:21The hosts had led inside a minute when Phil Foden netted and were two-up thanks to Josco Vardial before the interval.
00:28But then, tactical changes at the break from Farker reinvigorated Leeds.
00:33Dominic Calvert-Lewin pulled one back just minutes after coming on as a substitute, before Lucas Nemecha equalised from the spot.
00:40Phil Foden's late winner was heartbreaking, as Farker put it, but he was hugely encouraged by his side's display.
00:48Heartbreaking and unlucky for my players, but they should take lots of pride and lots of confidence,
00:55out of especially the second-half performance, so normally we would have deserved to take something out of this game.
01:01But although we are disappointed because we didn't come here for warm words or compliments,
01:09we came here, we wanted to win some points, so the overriding feeling is right now a disappointment.
01:13It was a relief, yeah. It was a relief.
01:18The game was not the perfect place in the first half, but it was comfort.
01:22It should be over for the chances that we had, we then concede.
01:25And after that, brilliantly, Daniel changed the system like Leverkusen has done, 5-3-2.
01:31And after that, we concede the goal we give away in the first minute,
01:34and after the way we have to move and the build-up is completely different,
01:38but the shape takes influence in the way you played.
01:40For Pep Guardiola to have been so relieved showed just how well Leeds managed to play in the second half,
01:46albeit to no avail.
01:48The fact that Leeds came away with nothing after such an effort will, of course, sting,
01:52even if Daniel Farker is able to take positives from the game.
01:56The challenge for Leeds will be to carry that type of performance into their upcoming fixtures,
02:01which in theory should allow them to start picking up more points.
02:04That starts with Chelsea visiting Elland Road next.
02:08Against Chelsea, Leeds will have to find that same grit and determination that they showed at the Etihad.
