00:01A first half strike from Anis Mometi was enough to see Bristol City come away with a 1-0 victory against Portsmouth at Fratton Park
00:08and return the Robins to winning ways after their loss at the hands of Wrexham last time out in the Championship.
00:15Bristol City stamped their authority on the match from the off and were ahead after just 17 minutes.
00:20They could well have had more over the course of the afternoon but ultimately they had to settle for just the one
00:25but luckily for them that was enough to claim all three points on the south coast.
00:30Yeah, of course. When you want to win here in this stadium with this atmosphere, you need a great performance
00:36and the boys, especially how we bounced back after the Wrexham game today, this was a really, really impressive game from the boys
00:44and also how they show character today and the mentality makes me really proud.
00:49You talk about that opening 30 minutes where you really came out of the trap and it could have been more than 1-0.
00:54Yeah, I think we spoke together how we want to play today, how we want to beat this team but also this atmosphere
01:02and I think the boys are handling and dealing in a direction that they do it great.
01:07So not only that we were aggressive and with the right intensity on the field against the ball,
01:12also in possession, how we kill the lines, how we come in the last third and how we come in transition moments.
01:20Super clean, especially I would say the goal that we score I think speaks more than a thousand words.
01:25That goal was Elis Mometti's sixth in the championship this season, making him Bristol City's biggest goal threat so far during this campaign.
01:37Mometti had already shown plenty of signs of promise last season under Liam Manning,
01:41but this year he has really kicked on and showcased his full ability.
01:46Keeping him fit and in form could be the making of Bristol City's campaign,
01:50with the Robins now up to sixth in the championship table, placing them inside of the play-off spots
01:55and just four points off Middlesbrough in second place.
02:01The Robins next take on Millwall back at Ashtongate,
02:05a side who sit just two points in three places above them in the league,
02:09giving that match an extra edge and extra importance.
