Bristol City’s Rob Dickie said that he and his teammates were happy with the draw they achieved away at Watford in the Championship on Friday, whilst Bristol Rovers’ Tom Lockyer made clear that the Gas were the dominant side against Gillingham at the Memorial Stadium despite them losing 0-1.
00:00Bristol City's Rob Dickey has made clear that he and his teammates were pleased with the draw and subsequent point that they earned away at Watford on Friday evening.
00:12Bristol City went behind in the game but brought it back to 1-1 to draw.
00:17Yeah, I think we come away happy with the point in the end. A point away from home is never a bad thing in this division.
00:23We had moments where we could have actually won it but it was a good solid performance.
00:27The squad's a bit stretched at the moment. It's been a tough couple of weeks to be honest but a really good point on the road and a really good fighting spirit.
00:35And you talk about a tough couple of weeks. We came from behind. Are you pleased not only with the reaction of today's game but also the improvement perhaps?
00:42Yeah, definitely. It was good to react in that way. Obviously you never want to concede early but especially in the moment we're in how the last couple of games have gone.
00:50When you concede early again, a bit of doubt might creep in but we stayed strong mentally and we clawed our way back in.
00:57It was a fantastic goal from Twiney and yeah, we're happy.
01:01And for you on a personal note, you hit 100 City appearances today. Firstly, congratulations.
01:06And how do you reflect on your performances and time here so far?
01:09Yeah, no, it's an honour to have hit 100 games for the club.
01:12And according to Bristol Rovers' Tom Lockyer, the Gats were dominant in their game against Gillingham at home but ultimately succumbed to a 1-0 loss.
01:22Very frustrating. A game I think we dominated and you should have heard them in their changing room after the game. It's like they won the league so I think that pretty much sums the game up.
01:34So yeah, fair play to them. 1-0 away from home. You've got all your hands up. Gieser's put a worldie in the top corner so fair play to him.
01:43But yeah, I think if we replay that game 10 times, we'd probably win eight or nine.
01:48So just one of them days. They have to probably be a little bit more clinical in the final third, a little bit more quality, a little bit more patterns and nous and how we're going to open them up and what chances we're going to create.
02:02So a little bit of work to be done there when a team sits as deep as they did, you know, especially when you don't have your two big men to play into and then play off that.
02:11So yeah, a little bit of work to be done there.
