Bristol City Head Coach Gerhard Struber said that his side’s victory over Birmingham City in the Championship at Ashton Gate demonstrated a top performance that was fully deserving of all three points, whilst Bristol Rovers Head Coach Darrell Clarke was again disappointed with the goals that his team conceded as they fell to another defeat in League Two, this time against Crawley.

00:00Bristol City head coach Gerhard Stuber could not have been more happy with his side's performance
00:06during their win against Birmingham City at Ashton Gate in the Championship on Saturday
00:10afternoon.
00:11Result-wise it's not possible to get better. I think of course we could score a little
00:18bit more goals but today we are super happy with the win. The performance, especially
00:22in the second half, we had not so much control in possession. Looks not always nice. We know
00:28today this was a little bit of a different story of football, how we bring the points
00:32home but we are super happy how the boys did it and defend our box in a very successful
00:40way.
00:41You are known for wanting to play that attacking football but are you pleased to see this different
00:45side to your team?
00:46Yes, I think it's very, very good also to see that we can write different stories and stories
00:53they bring in the end points home. Of course I like it when we have a high aggression team
00:58on the field and we can win the balls very high but today also we have to realise the
01:05opponent was on a really good level in possession and then it's sometimes more the way to defend
01:11really good.
01:13And it was another heavy loss for Bristol Rovers in League Two, this time away at Crawley
01:18Town with head coach Darrell Clark saying he and his players must take accountability.
01:24Yeah, I'm saying it too often at the minute but the same as I said to my staff there, I've
01:32got to be there to support my players, all accountability always as always. Another apology to our fans, it's
01:38happening too often these last few weeks and you know I thought we start the game solid, we should look
01:48after three, four transitions and score the first goal, if we look after that final pass then it's
01:53a crazy decision, crazy decision by an experienced player. We go down to ten men, they miss the pen
01:58and then the goals we conceded were poor but it's in these times to go and smash my lads with a stick
02:04and now's not the time, they need my support, my staff support and we have to get through this rut and
02:09this real bad situation, I'm not trying to paper over it, there's not a lot of things going for us at the minute.
02:14We'll see you next time.
