00:00Officials from the DPWH Mimaropa have appeared before the Sandigan Bayan.

00:05This in connection with the alleged anomalies in the flood control and road dike projects in Oriental Mindoro.

00:15Some officials from DPWH Mimaropa appeared at the Sandigan Bayan,

00:20denying graft charges linked to the 289.5 million peso flood control and road dike project in Nauhan, Oriental Mindoro.

00:29The officials insist the project was carried out according to standards.

00:34They face charges under the Anti-Graft and Corruption Practices Act,

00:38accused of abusing their positions to grant them undue benefits and cause damage to the government.

00:44The prosecution alleges substandard materials and incomplete work,

00:48but the officials maintain they were misled by inaccurate information.

00:52The Sandigan Bayan has scheduled pre-trial and preliminary conferences early next year.

00:58The presumption of innocence remains as evidence continues to be presented in the 289.5 million pesos project case.
