Tensions between the U.S. and Venezuela are spiraling as Trump and Maduro escalate threats and military posturing. Trump reviews potential land operations and expands Operation Southern Spear, deploying troops, jets, bombers and warships while shutting down airspace. Maduro responds with defiance, urging resistance, launching nationwide drills and activating Russian Igla-S missile units positioned across cities and mountains. With both sides hardening their stance, the region faces its most volatile moment yet, where even a minor spark could trigger a devastating conflict.

00:00Tensions between the United States and Venezuela are reaching a boil point, and could spill over into a full-blown war at any moment.
00:30Both the presidents, Trump and Maduro, are threatening each other by beefing up their military and security arrangements.
00:45Trump one Monday held a meeting with the top national security officials at the White House to discuss the next steps on Venezuela.
00:57Present at the meeting were Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Kane.
01:09Trump has already made several indications that a full-scale land attack on Venezuela is under consideration, and declared the airspace above and surrounding Venezuela is closed in its entirety.
01:23Under the Operation Southern Spear, the U.S. has deployed over 16,000 troops, F-35 jets, B-2 bombers, and a dozen warships, including the world's largest aircraft carrier, USS Gerald Ford, off the coast of Venezuela.
01:44Venezuela's President Maduro has refused to back down against the U.S. military threats.
01:53In fact, at a public rally in Caracas on Monday, Maduro was seen dancing and rejoicing with the people, as if there was no security threat at all.
02:03Addressing the public, Maduro said that his government was ready for dialogue with the U.S., but it will not be intimidated and would not accept a slave's peace.
02:18In response to U.S.'s military buildup, Maduro has ordered his own army to be ready for a prolonged resistance and conduct new military drills.
02:31We want peace, but peace with sovereignty, peace with equality, peace with freedom.
02:41We don't want the plaza of the slaves, nor the peace of the colonies.
02:48Colonia, never, slaves, never, never, freedom.
02:56But, I have bad news to the empire, and I have very good news to the people.
03:06No is a man.
03:10I feel the immense satisfaction of saying, no is Maduro.
03:15It is a man.
03:16It is a man.
03:17It is a man.
03:18It is willing to fight for this country in the decades and years to live.
03:25Because we were born to win and not to be defeated.
03:32And we, we, we, we, we, we, we.
03:39Venezuela has also deployed 5,000 Russian-made IGLA-S missiles to counter the U.S. Air Force.
03:46Maduro boasted that the weapons are now positioned in the last mountain, the last town, and the last city.
03:55Over 5,000 trained operators have been placed on alert, using simulators and rapid deployment drills to prepare for a possible U.S. strike.
04:04War clouds are looming large, and any small spark could lead to a full-blown conflict in the Caribbean.
