00:02:48It is the first time ever we've been to this track,
00:02:50and we're getting ready for the first round.
00:02:52Any weekend in Vegas is a good weekend,
00:02:54plus coming off of Colorado,
00:02:56where we're at high altitude.
00:02:58We're a little closer to sea level here,
00:03:00but still between 2,000 and 3,000 feet.
00:03:03These cars are going to make a little more power
00:03:05than on the side of the mountain,
00:03:06but that doesn't mean tuning will be easy.
00:03:09Kai's team has a solid lead right now with 790 points,
00:03:13but as we all know, anything can happen in Vegas.

00:04:10but just like every team out here,
00:04:13it's ups and downs, peaks and valleys.

00:04:47all of them, which again, it's going to be hard,
00:04:49but it's possible, and we all advance,
00:04:51and a couple of us end up in the semifinals with finals,
00:04:54and all of a sudden, that all changes.

00:07:12And Mike Murillo dropped Mike Chandler and pulled up Dominator.
00:07:16After Race Your Way In, Team Kai Kelly and Team Daddy Dave both have five racers in today's event.
00:07:22So it's going to be interesting to see who will help or who will hurt their team.
00:07:26We're officially in the back half of the season, so now is the time for each and every team to kick it in gear
00:07:31and make moves if they want to stay in the hunt down the homestretch.

00:09:20Last night, the track conditions were not really that good.
00:09:24We had so many oil down, so many cleanups, so much time in between cars going down and the track just goes to to put it nicely.
00:09:32Coming into today, the sun's out. It's hotter than Hades. It's greasy.
00:09:39So it's going to be really tricky for any of the guys to get down through there.
00:09:50The goal today is just go rounds, get wins.
00:09:52But we fell down to second against Kai.
00:09:54We just need him to get together and just keep racking up points so we can get back into number one.

00:10:17And Kyle Canyon gets the win. What a drag race right there, but Kyle Canyon turns on the wind light.
00:10:34So we just ran Disco. It wasn't our fastest pass, but we got the win.
00:10:39We went around Disco. I don't know how close it was. I was glad to get that one out of the way.

00:11:04You go from 85 degrees in a cool track to a super slick, hot, sunny mess.
00:11:10When we ran our test pass last night, track temp was 94 degrees. Right now it's 128.
00:11:14Well, you know, we knew when we came to Vegas it was going to be hot.
00:11:17It's Invitational Day. This is going to be a badass race someplace we've never been before.
00:11:22It'll also be a super challenge because this track's going to be slick with that sun beating down on it.
00:11:27I just feel like it's going to be a good day. This is the kind of stuff where we've been good and where the car can be good.
00:11:32It's just a struggle of, all right, how do we get that into the car to make it do what we want it to do?
00:11:38I got Paige Coughlin first round. In New Hampshire, she beat us.
00:11:41Like, we just made some mistakes, and she just beat us. Good for her.
00:11:44This round is going to be different.
00:11:46The plan going into this round is to soften the car, make it leave right. We move some weight back.
00:11:50It might stand up, but the goal with this round is just get that car down and get it fast on the top end.
00:11:57I drew Robin Roberts, and I was like, ooh, this should be interesting because he was actually the first person I ever raced in the Invitational in New Hampshire at the end of June.
00:12:18But, you know, we beat him before, so I'm like, alrighty, well, just keep that in the back of your mind. You know what you're doing.
