00:00It looks like Gigi Hadid won't be serving on the jury for Harvey Weinstein's criminal
00:04trial after all. The supermodel caused a stir earlier in the week when she was among
00:09hundreds of New Yorkers that sat in Judge James Burke's courtroom on Monday to
00:13potentially serve as a juror in Weinstein's case. At the time, Hadid expressed to the
00:18judge that she could be impartial even though she has met Weinstein in the past,
00:22as well as actress Salma Hayek, a possible witness in the case. The model was spotted
00:26again walking into the courthouse shortly before 9 a.m. on Thursday but left just a
00:31few minutes later. Despite Hadid's insistence that she could, quote,
00:34"...keep an open mind on the facts," court officials confirmed that she was cut from the list
00:38of potential jurors. Following the attention her presence in court generated, the defense
00:43and prosecutors agreed that having her on the jury would be too much of a commotion.
00:47Burke has said he expects the jury panel to be seated in time for opening statements
00:51and testimony on January 22. He told prospective jurors that he expected the trial
00:55to finish up in early March. If convicted, Weinstein could face life in prison.
