00:06In a fire in the residential complex is now the deadliest in the city's history.

00:20Hello to the companions of Telesur and all the audience watching us in this transmission.
00:25I am in the Chinese capital now to report about the devastating fire at the Tai Po residential complex,
00:33that is now the deadliest residential fire ever recorded in Hong Kong,
00:39with 146 people dead and 79 injured, and more than 100 are still missing.
00:47The fire engulfed seven of the eight towers, many of which were undergoing renovation,
00:55and spread rapidly to the abundance of flammable materials.
01:01More than 2,000 rescuers using drones and specialized equipment worked for days searching for survivors.
01:11Authorities have provided free accommodation for those affected until their homes are rebuilt.
01:21There are plans to reallocate 1,900 families, and so far more than 1,500 residents are already in temporary housing.
01:35Shelters and hotels are also being used, with food, clothing, and essential supplies being distributed.
01:44Psychologists and volunteers are supporting those affected, addressing both emotional and practical needs,
01:54such as transportations and moving assistance.
01:58In addition, 11 people connected to the renovation of the complex were arrested on suspicion of negligence and murder.
02:10The tragedy has mobilized all the citizens, with thousands paying tributes to the victims.
