00:00David Harbour is set to star in a feature adaptation of the best-selling racing video game, Gran Turismo.
00:06Neil Blomkamp of District 9 is directing the film that comes from Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions.
00:13Harbour will play a retired race car driver in the film.
00:16The project, which is based on a true story, is described as the ultimate wish-fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player
00:22whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional race car driver.
00:28Harbour's character teaches the teen to drive.
00:31Sony is planning a theatrical release for the movie starring Harbour, setting an August 11, 2023 opening.
00:37The actor was recently seen on stage at Disney's D23 Expo,
00:40where it was revealed that he would be reprising his Black Widow role of Red Guardian in Marvel Studios' upcoming Thunderbolts movie.
00:47He was seen in 2021's No Sudden Move and recently wrapped shooting the action flick Violent Night for Universal.
00:53Harbour is also set to return to his role of Jim Hopper for the final season of Stranger Things on Netflix.
