The 10 stars of ABC's top-rated comedy 'Modern Family' will each get raises as the show is renewed for a ninth and 10th season.

00:09Here I am trying to host this show and talk about one of my favorite shows, Modern Family.

00:13What are you doing here? This is my Modern Family homage.

00:19Okay, okay. Lucky for you guys, the real Modern Family isn't going anywhere.

00:24The Hollywood Reporter has learned that ten stars of the five-time Emmy-winning family series

00:28have signed new, huge contracts to return to the network's top comedy,

00:32which has been renewed for a ninth and ten season.

00:35It's unclear if season ten will be its last.

00:37The renewal is for 44 total episodes, 22 per season.

00:41Co-creator, co-showrunner Steve Levitan had this to say Wednesday.

00:46We are beyond thrilled that we get to spend more time with these characters.

00:49These amazing actors are ridiculously talented writers and our incredible crew,

00:54all of whom are like family to us.

00:56And the good kind of family, not the kind that argues with you all the time.

00:59Sources say each star has scored a raise to remain with the comedy from showrunners

01:03Levitan and Christopher Lloyd, and producers 20th Century Fox Television.

01:07Securing raises are the six primary stars, Sofia Vergara as Gloria,

01:12Julie Bowen as Claire, Ty Burrell as Phil, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron,

01:17Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell, and Ed O'Neill as Jay.

01:21The younger cast members are also returning.

01:23They include Rico Rodriguez as Manny, Nolan Gould as Luke, Sarah Hyland as Haley,

01:28and Ariel Winter as Alex.

01:30So will this lead to the show's swan song?

01:32Co-creator and co-showrunner Levitan told The Hollywood Reporter recently

01:36that he would like to see the show go ten seasons.

01:38I'd like it to go ten seasons.

01:40It seems like a nice round number.

01:42But most importantly, I'd like to end strong.

01:44If that means ending it after nine, that's okay.

01:47If it means ending it after ten, even better, said Levitan.

01:50So how excited are you for more modern family?

01:53I can't wait to see my favorite characters back together with their funny family situations.
