The Billboard Music Awards has yet another major act to add to this year's all-star performance lineup: Salt-N-Pepa. The legendary rap trio will team up with vocal group En Vogue for a special performance.

00:01The Billboard Music Awards continues to add stars to this year's line-up
00:05as we can now officially announce Salt-N-Pepa will be performing
00:09with En Vogue on May 20th.
00:16Salt-N-Pepa made their chart debut in 1987 and one year later,
00:21their iconic track Push It became the first rap song by a female act
00:25to hit the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100,
00:27eventually climbing all the way up to No. 19.
00:36But it was their collaboration with En Vogue in 1994
00:40that earned the act their biggest hit to date on the Hot 100,
00:43the No. 3 peaking, What A Man.
00:49Thirty years later, we're still pushing it all over the world
00:52and we're still loved and celebrated by fans we grew up with
00:55as well as new fans, Salt-N-Pepa said in a statement.
00:58Looking back at all the barriers we've broken as women in this very male-dominated
01:02genre of music, being the first two female rappers to break the top 20
01:06on the Billboard Hot 100 is right up there as one of the best moments
01:10of our amazing career. We are blessed.
01:13Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue now join the previously announced performers,
01:17including Kelly Clarkson, Camila Cabello, BTS, Ariana Grande,
01:22John Legend, Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lopez, Shawn Mendes,
01:27and Christina Aguilera featuring Demi Lovato.
