00:00Were you big into the Batman comics growing up?
00:02I was, I was, yeah, I, I, you know, when I was a kid, the Tim Burton movie came out
00:07and it, it changed my life.
00:09I was, I was obsessed with Batman.
00:12I rushed out and got all the comic books.
00:14I collected comic books, read comic books for years, Batman being, you know, the predominant
00:20one.
00:21Michael Keaton is, is the only Batman for me now.
00:23No, I actually, I, I thought Robert Pattinson did a really great job and when I found out
00:27that he was cast, I was like, that's perfect.
00:30So to get to, you know, play a small, even a small part in this universe, in this, you
00:34know, Pattinson, Matt Reeves universe is, is so special.
00:37Well, it's also incredible to see Colin Farrell completely transform into this character.
00:43What was it like first seeing him walk out onto the set?
00:46And was there a scene that you shared with him that particularly stood out to you?
00:50Well, yes.
00:51Uh, this, the first scene in this, in this first episode is basically me and him.
00:56Okay.
00:57You haven't seen it?
00:58No, I have not.
00:59Okay.
01:00But I, I lived it.
01:01Um, but yeah, so it was also the, the first, um, scene that we shot for the entire show.
01:09So I was like super nervous.
01:11He was nervous.
01:12Um, everybody was nervous.
01:13Yeah.
01:14The crew was nervous.
01:15Um, yeah.
01:16And he was, he couldn't have been more pleasant to work with.
01:18He, you know, he, he never forgot a line.
01:21Like we shot that scene over two days and never once forgot a line.
01:25I mean, I forgot a few.
01:26It was also freezing cold in that studio because he was wearing all the prosthetics.
01:30Yeah.
01:31And so he jacked, had the air conditioning jacked up.
01:34So it was like, it was like minus 30 in the studio and I'm not wearing prosthetics.
01:37And so I was free, I was shivering like, and, and in the scene, you'll see like, I'm supposed
01:42to be cocky.
01:43I'm supposed to be confident, you know, and I'm just like underneath I'm shivering.
01:46Well, you haven't seen it yet.
01:47So maybe, maybe you, maybe you do play it cool.
01:49I've asked a few people.
01:50They, they agree.
01:51I was cool.
01:52Yeah.
01:53Okay.
01:54Well, I know that the show has also been likened a little bit to the Sopranos in recent days.
01:58What do you make of those comparisons?
02:00Yeah, I mean, again, I haven't seen it yet, but they're both, you know, mob shows.
02:05And so I could see the comparisons.
02:07I guess Colin maybe resembles James Gandolfini a little bit.
02:11Maybe that, maybe that's a part of the comparisons as well.
02:14But, but there's certainly, you know, probably more death in this show and destruction and,
02:20you know, Gotham's not, not really New Jersey.
02:25It's a little more dangerous.
02:27I'm from New Jersey, so I know.
02:28You know, but, but yeah, I could see the comparisons for sure.
02:31Yeah, for sure.
02:32Finally, I wanted to say this past Sunday where the Emmys, it was the first one without the
02:36Maisel family there to kind of represent a little bit, a little bittersweet.
02:39Yeah.
02:40We deserve more Emmys, I think.
02:41Yeah.
02:42More seasons, please.
02:43Hey, I mean, I, you're preaching to the choir.
02:46I would love to do more seasons.
02:47I would love to do a Maisel movie.
02:49Let's do it.
02:50Let's pitch it.
02:51Let's pitch it.
02:52But I wanted to say.
02:53I've pitched it multiple times by now.
02:54Yeah.
02:55What is your bond with the cast?
02:56Are you guys, do you guys still have a group text or group chat going?
02:59Yeah.
03:00We have a group chat.
03:01We were texting each other on Sunday, you know, because we were sad.
03:03We weren't together.
03:04Yeah.
03:05But, you know, we're all in different places and everybody's working.
03:09And I, I mean, I miss them so much.
03:11I miss that show so much.
03:13But, you know, we'll, we'll see each other again.
03:17It'll have, we'll have a reunion soon.
03:18Union soon.
