00:00Thank you for calling Visa Security Department.
00:03I am from the National Crime Agency.
00:05If you talk to me, then I will guide you.
00:08Every day, we're being bombarded by scammers.
00:11I've got no money in my bank.
00:13How much I have to pay?
00:16But we are fighting back.
00:18Working with ethical hacker Jim Browning, who hacks into scam call centres,
00:23we can tap into this criminal network and track down the victims to stop the scammers
00:29before they steal.
00:31You should not buy those gift cards.
00:32You're going to lose your money.
00:33What was that? What was that?
00:34I can assure you that nothing they're saying is true.
00:37You're on the phone to a scammer, my love. You need to hang up the phone.
00:40Hang up!
00:42This is Scam Interceptors.
00:49On today's episode...
00:51We'll stay on them until they start doing this.
00:53We will disrupt this lot as much as we possibly can.
00:56We confront the prolific scammers claiming to be from the National Crime Agency.
01:01You're a thief. You're a scammer.
01:03Get f***ing out of here.
01:06You are the prime suspect in this case.
01:08Your national insurance number has been compromised.
01:11The team in the Glasgow Scam Hub have been monitoring a group of scammers
01:16who are calling British mobile numbers claiming to be the National Crime Agency.
01:20The UK's leading law enforcement agency fighting organised crime.
01:25Unit 1, this is Michael Chiazzo from PlayStation.
01:28They're some of the cruelest scammers that we've ever encountered.
01:32I'm making sure that you are going to be arrested.
01:35We've been investigating them for several weeks and it sounds like they've got their claws into another potential victim.
01:42This call's been going on for 28 minutes and it is our call centre who are posing as the National Crime Agency,
01:48threatening people that their national insurance numbers have been compromised,
01:51used for criminal activity.
01:52To prove that they're not the criminals, to prove that their money is their own,
01:56what the scammers ask them to do is to go out and buy gift cards,
02:00which they say are then going to be given over to officers of the law.
02:04And it sounds like the person on the line might be out and about somewhere,
02:08possibly even buying gift cards and they've just left the phone in their pocket
02:11with the line open to the scammer.
02:13We only have limited information on the man being targeted,
02:16just a postcode in the south of England.
02:19And with technical challenges too, it's a struggle to work out exactly what's going on.
02:24I just can't get both sides of the call to work,
02:28but I'm getting the speakers right now, but not the mic.
02:33Well, we have his screen.
02:34Yeah, this is his screen.
02:36Which means we have a postcode.
02:38Yeah. This sounds to me like someone who's out and about
02:40and has the phone in their pocket.
02:41It definitely sounds like that.
02:42So do you think they're already on the way to get the gift cards maybe?
02:45Quite likely.
02:46So I think what we'll do is we'll send our southern GIs in that general direction
02:53and we'll start trying to get in touch with this person now.
02:55While Nick starts trying to reach the man by phone,
02:58producer Mark dispatches the ground interceptor team,
03:01Mia and Harriet, to the postcode we have.
03:04Plumstead, Woolwich, south of the river.
03:08The GIs in about 48 minutes, they said, away.
03:1348 minutes?
03:1448, yeah.
03:15North Circular, lots of traffic.
03:17A long way.
03:1950 minutes across London is a long way.
03:22With little more than the rustling sounds of a phone in someone's pocket to go on,
03:28it's hard to be sure what's happening until the audio suddenly kicks in.
03:35Oh, that sounds like a phone being picked up.
03:41Just deal with just like a snippet of conversation.
03:43Just a smudge, right?
03:45Hello?
03:46Here we go.
03:47Hello?
03:49Hello?
03:50I am continuously calling for your name.
03:52You're not responding.
03:53What is going on there?
03:56Yeah, I guess I was just purchasing for the cards.
03:58I've covered them.
03:59Yes?
04:00How much you paid for the cards?
04:01700?
04:02Oh, no.
04:04Call it now.
04:05This is our worst case scenario.
04:07The man has £700 worth of gift cards in his hands.
04:11If he reads out the codes on the back to the scammers,
04:14his money will be gone with no chance of tracing it.
04:19And with the ground team so far away,
04:21it leaves Nick and the hub little choice but to try and contact the man immediately.
04:26Okay, now come out from the store.
04:33Alright, now first we need to register those cards, okay?
04:37Registering the cards means handing the scammers the codes.
04:40Oh, no.
04:41So, what you have to do, you need to take the cards out from the packet first.
04:48No, don't do that.
04:50But with the man on the phone to the scammer, he isn't answering our calls or reading our warning messages.
04:57Oh, God, we need to...
04:58Yeah.
04:59Do we just do a bombard?
05:00No, no, no.
05:01This is the last step.
05:02Then you can go back to the home.
05:03Oh, no.
05:04And we will start working on your case file, okay?
05:05You need to give these three cards to us so that we can transfer back 700 on your account.
05:18We have to send these cards to the courthouse to validate these cards, okay?
05:22This is your hard-earned money.
05:25Huge moment here, because this guy's clearly bought 700 pounds of the gift cards.
05:28Now, all the scammer needs is for him to read the voucher codes off the cards or send pictures of them.
05:33That's it. Done. Money gone.
05:35On the front side of the card, there is a scratch panel.
05:37You need to scratch it, okay?
05:39Yeah, yeah, yeah.
05:40Yeah, so I...
05:43And once you scratch it, then you need to take a photograph and send it to the NCA on WhatsApp.
05:47Oh, no.
05:48Can't get it.
05:49We pass on the latest updates about the scam to the ground team, still over 40 minutes away.
05:55North circular, lots of traffic.
05:59So he's really deep into the scam here.
06:01We just need to get there as quickly as possible.
06:04In the hub, none of our efforts to get through to the man seem to be working.
06:09So, as he edges ever closer to losing his money, Nick tries something new.
06:17He's not responding.
06:18Trying a WhatsApp call.
06:19Yeah, so just take the card out and scratch the pedal.
06:27Have you scratched it?
06:28I knew it. I'm scratching it.
06:34He sounds like he's scratching.
06:35It does.
06:37Oh, mate.
06:42Oh, my God.
06:44Have you take all the three cards out?
06:47Hello? Sorry?
06:48Yeah, okay, I'll call you back.
06:50Yes!
06:51Suddenly, it sounds as if the man might be having doubts, and he ends the call.
06:56Hello?
06:57Come on.
07:01Hello?
07:03Come on, mate. Answer the phone.
07:05We're now in a battle with the scammers to get him on the phone.
07:09Come on, mate.
07:10Yeah.
07:16But it sounds like the scammers have got him back on the line.
07:19Hello?
07:20Why are you disconnecting the call?
07:22He's read your messages.
07:23He's read my messages.
07:24I'll call you back.
07:25Yes!
07:26Come on.
07:27Yes! I'm going to call him, call him, call him.
07:28Yeah, I'm on it, I'm on it.
07:29I'm on it, I'm on it.
07:30I'm on it.
07:31I'm on it.
07:32I'm on it.
07:33I'm on it.
07:34I'm on it.
07:35I'm on it.
07:36I'm on it.
07:37I'm on it.
07:38I'm on it.
07:39I'm on it.
07:40I'm on it.
07:41I'm on it.
07:42Despite our efforts, it's still a struggle to get through to him.
07:46Oh, he must be so confused.
07:47Oh, bless his soul.
07:53They were so close to money.
07:54They're going to be furious.
07:57Yeah, they're not going to go up.
08:01We know the man is now off the phone to the scammer,
08:04but we can't get him to take our calls either.
08:08Just as we're planning our next steps.
08:11He read your messages.
08:12He has.
08:13Definite blue ticks.
08:15I would just say, um, call us, we'll explain or something like that.
08:19He's calling.
08:20He's calling.
08:21OK.
08:24Hello, sir.
08:25Hello.
08:26Hi there.
08:27Yeah, yeah, yeah.
08:28Thank you for your warning.
08:29That's OK.
08:30I'm from a national, national agency and it made me purchase out 700.
08:34I know.
08:35I get that money back now.
08:36OK, so my name's Nick Stapleton.
08:39I'm a journalist.
08:40I work for the BBC on a programme called Scam Interceptors.
08:44Yeah?
08:45Yeah, yes, I know, I know.
08:46I watch you all the time.
08:47Oh, brilliant.
08:48OK, so what you need to do, you need to tell your bank that you've been scammed.
08:53Now, the gift cards that you bought, were they Apple gift cards?
08:56Do you know?
08:58Yeah, Apple gift cards for everything.
09:00OK.
09:01Three of them.
09:02He scratched and revealed the codes on the cards, but crucially, he hasn't read them out
09:07to the scammer, meaning his money is still on the gift cards.
09:12Do you mind if I ask your name, by the way?
09:13Patrick.
09:14Patrick, hey, Patrick.
09:15I'm Nick.
09:16So, Patrick, I think the best thing to do, first of all, is probably to go to a police
09:21station or call the police on the non-emergency number and tell them that this has happened
09:27and ask for a crime reference number.
09:30Yeah.
09:31Because you're going to need the crime reference number to get Apple to give you the money back.
09:35That £700 is currently on those gift cards.
09:38You need that money for something.
09:40OK, so let me go to the police.
09:42Let me go to the police now.
09:43I've got two colleagues who are called Harriet and Mia who can come and help you with this
09:47if you want.
09:48They're BBC journalists.
09:49They've got ID.
09:50I can get them over to you once you're done with the police.
09:52Yeah, Plumstead Police Station.
09:54I don't know if it's open.
09:55That's the nearest one to me.
09:56Plumstead.
09:57OK, you head there.
09:58All right.
09:59All right.
10:00Thanks a lot for your help.
10:01No problem, Patrick.
10:02I'm really glad that we were able to get you when we did because that was close.
10:05Yeah.
10:06Thank you very much.
10:07Finally, Patrick is out of the scammers' clutches.
10:10Woo!
10:11Oh, my goodness.
10:12Wow.
10:13That was as close as it's been, I think.
10:15Wow, wow, wow.
10:16OK.
10:17I mean, they must be so confused right now.
10:20Nick gets Harriet and Mia on the phone to tell them the good news and let them know the plan
10:25with the gift cards, which still contain Patrick's money.
10:30So we've got a bit of a situation that we're going to need your help with.
10:35OK.
10:36So a man called Patrick, who I've just spoken to on the phone.
10:39Yeah.
10:40Unfortunately, we just managed to intercept right at the point where he bought gift cards for the National Crime Agency scam.
10:47Wow, OK.
10:48He is holding 700 quid's worth of gift cards right now.
10:52We literally heard him scratching the back of the gift cards to read the codes out to the scammers when we managed to get through to him.
10:59No.
11:00So what I've done is I've told him to go to his local police station.
11:04OK.
11:05So what it would be great if you guys can do, if you don't mind, is to basically say to him that you guys are giving him a hand
11:10trying to get his money back after he comes out.
11:12OK.
11:13Yeah, for sure.
11:14Yeah, sounds good.
11:15And hopefully we can get him his 700 quid back because he said he needs the money.
11:17Absolutely.
11:18We'll get him as much help as we can.
11:20A short while later, the team have almost reached Patrick.
11:24Right.
11:25We're on the high street.
11:26The police station must be around here somewhere.
11:35Is it Patrick?
11:36Yeah, yeah, yeah.
11:37Hi.
11:39Harriet meets Patrick at the station, where he gets a crime reference number from the police, which he'll need to get his money back off the gift cards.
11:48We then catch up with him shortly afterwards, back in the ground team's car.
11:54This is Patrick.
11:55Patrick, how are you?
11:56Yeah, how are you?
11:57How are you doing?
11:58How are you doing?
11:59I'm good.
12:00Have you managed to speak to Apple?
12:01Yeah, we spoke to Apple.
12:02Harriet and Mia have been a great help.
12:05We sent one information today.
12:07It's been quite a stressful morning to Patrick.
12:09It's been quite a stressful morning to Patrick.
12:10Yeah.
12:11I'm not surprised.
12:12I didn't know this kind of messed up, to tell the truth.
12:13I got a phone call.
12:14The guy is the assault or policeman, Mr. Michael.
12:18He said that he's from the Tromsted police station.
12:21So, at that moment, when we spoke, were you actually scratching the gift cards in that moment?
12:26I was scratching the gift cards.
12:28He was probably two on the phone.
12:30So, when he finally got the money, he said, when you get outside, just scratch them.
12:34That's when people jumped in.
12:35Oh, that was close.
12:37That was close.
12:38Very, very close.
12:39Very, very close.
12:41Well, look, I'm so glad we managed to speak to you when we did.
12:44And I'm so glad that we managed to get these guys out there to help.
12:47Yeah.
12:48We've got all the gift cards here.
12:51So...
12:52Wow.
12:53We've got loaded these numbers, and Patrick's hopefully going to get a refund.
12:57Brilliant.
12:58All right.
12:59What a fantastic result.
13:00I'm so happy we were able to help, Patrick.
13:01I appreciate your coming in at the right time.
13:04Oh, it's our pleasure.
13:05It's what we do.
13:06Cheers, team.
13:07See you later.
13:08Bye.
13:09It's a fantastic ending to a very stressful situation.
13:14And sure enough, a few weeks later, Patrick's money was back where it belongs in his bank account.
13:21If you are being pressured into buying a gift card for someone else, just stop and take a moment.
13:27Neither the bank, the police, nor any legitimate company will ever ask you to make a payment via a gift card.
13:34If you have purchased any cards, never share the numbers on the back or send photos of the cards to anyone.
13:40If you think you have been the victim of a gift card scam, call your bank immediately.
13:45Contact the gift card company directly to see if they can stop the transaction.
13:50Report to Action Fraud, the UK's central point for reporting fraud to the police.
13:55If you're in Scotland, report directly to the police on 101.
14:08With help from our ethical hacker Jim Browning, we continue to monitor the same scammers who targeted Patrick, pretending to be the UK's national crime agency, under the alias of officer Michael Tiazzo.
14:22They have issued an arrest warrant under your name to our police station.
14:26A few weeks later, we've had a breakthrough.
14:29So Jim has just been pulling files from their computers while we've been sat here.
14:34And that includes full government level identification for one of the main scammers that we've been talking to, Ketan.
14:41So we can see what he looks like. He's a young guy.
14:44He's so young.
14:46Ooh.
14:47This is Ketan Chattavedi.
14:50Ketan is one of the many faces behind one of the cruelest scams we've ever encountered.
14:56Threatening people with arrest unless they comply with his requests.
15:00Jim and I rejoin the team in the hub as our investigation ramps up.
15:05Well Nick, hearing how this group, in particular, the scammer we're listening to is operating,
15:11I don't know about you, I genuinely think we have got to do everything we can to take them down now.
15:16Jim, I know that you've been working away in the background there,
15:18trying to identify exactly where that scammer is based.
15:23And you think you might have found a location?
15:25Yes, thanks to his wireless networks, I can pinpoint him to within about 15 metres.
15:30So I've just sent you his location, and it looks like he's in the very north-west of India.
15:37They're located here, in the Indian-administered city of Srinagar, on the banks of the Dude Gunga River.
15:46The first thing that springs to my mind is that's clearly just residential, isn't it?
15:51That's probably his house.
15:52So this is brilliant, Jim, thank you so much for this.
15:56And the scammer's location isn't the only trick up our sleeve.
16:00We've got our microphone, which will mean that we can actually join the calls that he's on.
16:05So what we'll do is, when he's on a call, and the moment I tell you that Mike goes live,
16:10you'll be able to talk to him and the target he's talking to at the same time.
16:14Do you know what? I think we've got to go really hard here.
16:16We've got to do everything we can.
16:17We've got to flex some serious cyber-muscle against this lot.
16:20We continue to monitor Catan's calls.
16:24Has it helped me with the last four digits of your national insurance number?
16:28We've heard enough. Time to put our allegations to him.
16:32It's because there is an investigation going under your name and your national insurance number.
16:36Is that Catan?
16:37After your search of suspicious...
16:39Sorry?
16:40Is that Catan?
16:44Is that Catan?
16:45Who is this?
16:48Who is this?
16:49This is Ralph Wilding from the Scam Interceptors programme made by the BBC.
16:54You're a scammer.
16:55Why are you trying to scam people pretending you're from the NCA?
17:00The victim hangs up the call, but Catan is still listening.
17:04I'm sorry?
17:05Why are you scamming people?
17:07Why have you suddenly gone quiet?
17:12You've got plenty to say when you're trying to steal people's money.
17:15What are you up to at the moment?
17:16You're sat in Srinagar, aren't you?
17:21Are you looking outside your window?
17:22Can you see the river?
17:24How's the view?
17:26We know where you are.
17:31Why have you gone so quiet?
17:33His silence is telling.
17:35Don't worry, we'll be sending all our findings about your illegal operation to the police.
17:45How would you feel, Catan, if this was a member of your family getting scammed in this way?
17:50Left in floods of tears because of what you do to them.
17:54I'm sure you wouldn't like it.
17:58Catan has gotten a fright and turns off his computer.
18:02Okay, he's gone. He's gone.
18:06Unfortunately, for someone who makes an illegal living out of being such a good talker,
18:12had nothing to say to me.
18:14He switched his computer off pretty quickly.
18:17But it's not over, is it, Nick?
18:19We want to make sure we put a stop to this entire operation.
18:22And there are still other computers from this call centre on the network.
18:27Thanks to Jim's access, we now know the names of other scammers in the room.
18:33Now I want to speak to them.
18:35Is that Sohil or is that Akash?
18:41Maybe it's AJ?
18:45Who is it? Sohil? Akash? AJ?
18:49Hello.
18:54Who's that?
18:56Is that Sohil? Akash? Who are you?
18:59Is that Sohil?
19:01He cuts the call.
19:04They are very spooked.
19:10But we're not giving up.
19:12The scammers clearly don't want to talk.
19:14But we've got another ace up our sleeve.
19:17Interceptor Harleen puts our allegations to Catan in Hindi.
19:23Catan?
19:26Catan?
19:27The scammers don't say a word.
19:51Now that they are aware of our presence, Nick can use the full extent of our access
19:55and writes a message on their computer screens.
19:59And Nick, read out what you've just put on their computer.
20:02This is BBC Scam Interceptors.
20:03We know who you are and we know where you are.
20:05Our information will be going to the police in Jammer and Kashmir.
20:08Tell your boss to call us and I've left our number for them.
20:11Brilliant work.
20:12Somebody tells me they won't ring.
20:14And looking at that screen right now, Nick, how many scam calls are they making?
20:19Some of our most evil, persistent, horrible scammers we've had on the show.
20:23And right now, they're doing nothing.
20:26Nothing at all. Brilliant.
20:27A good result, team.
20:28Really good result.
20:32But remarkably, seemingly undeterred, the next day, while Nick is in the Hub,
20:38the scammers are back online.
20:41Just yesterday, we confronted our NCA scammers.
20:44Some of the most grim, evil, manipulative scammers that we've ever had on the show.
20:52They're back online.
20:53It's like they thought what happened was just some kind of glitch in the matrix.
20:58I think we need to put them on the straight and narrow.
21:00So, I'm going to try and have some more conversations with them.
21:04Nick writes them another message, this time in their private group chat.
21:08How many bank accounts are you using in UK?
21:12This is BBC Scam Interceptors.
21:14Uh-huh.
21:15This is BC.
21:17We know who you all are.
21:24We will be reporting you to the police.
21:28He seems to have gone quiet on his little scam.
21:33He's just shutting the view down straight away.
21:35I did it.
21:36Come on. We got it on their group.
21:38Every single one of them knows.
21:39No hesitation.
21:40Finger on the power button.
21:41But I got the messages into their chat first.
21:44He is going to be scared right now.
21:45And his friends are going to be scared as well.
21:47Ketan and his colleagues are clearly on edge and try to remove us from their servers.
21:52But they're unsuccessful, meaning we can still see them trying to scam vulnerable people in the UK.
21:59They think they've gotten away with it, but we're not letting that happen.
22:04Now, we've already called them out.
22:06Yep.
22:07And I thought it was very successful when we called them out because we saw the computers shut down.
22:11However, you have just discovered they're very much online.
22:15Yep.
22:16They have not realized that we have access to their call server.
22:19So, thanks to Jim and his technical know-how, we have got a deeper level of access that they believe that we have.
22:26But I am personally offended that they are still going on, as I'm sure you are.
22:31It annoys me. I never want to hear Michael Tiazzo's name ever again.
22:34So, I think we need to go even harder today.
22:37And I think we should really put the wind up them and scare them into shutting this operation down for good.
22:42I decide to speak to Ketan again. And this time…
22:48Ketan?
22:49Ketan?
22:50This is Rav Wilding. The program is called Scam Interceptors and we've been monitoring you for months.
22:58You're a scammer, Ketan. You're not from the NCA. You're lying.
23:03You are not from the NCA.
23:06Who was you? Who was you?
23:09Ketan? Why are you trying to scam people?
23:12Why are you pretending you're from the National Crime Agency when you're not?
23:18Who are you?
23:19Hang up the phone, sir. He is not from the National Crime Agency.
23:23Do not talk to this man. Hang up the phone. You're not in any trouble.
23:26Ketan, you are though.
23:28Ketan, you are though.
23:30He hung up. So, we crash into another call.
23:33Now, can you confirm your real postcode? We can differentiate between what is real and what is bogus.
23:39Don't give your postcode. You're talking to a thief. He's not from the National Crime Agency.
23:45OK, ****.
23:47Wow. OK, next one.
23:49And another.
23:51How many bank accounts are you using?
23:53Hello, don't tell them how many bank accounts you're using because it's a scammer.
23:57You're not talking to the National Crime Agency.
23:59Who are you?
24:00This is Rav Wilding from the Scam Interceptor Programme.
24:02Who are you?
24:03My name's Rav Wilding. What's your name?
24:04Is it Sahil? Is it Akash? Is it AJ?
24:07Who is it?
24:08Who are you?
24:09I've just told you it's Rav Wilding from the Scam Interceptor Programme.
24:12What's your name?
24:13Why are you pretending you're from the National Crime Agency?
24:16You're not. You're a thief. You're a scammer.
24:19You're a scammer.
24:26The panic is palpable.
24:34Oh, they're freaking out. They're panicking, aren't they?
24:37They are panicking.
24:38They are freaking out.
24:39They thought they got away with it.
24:41Right, there's another one.
24:42Ready?
24:43Yeah, let's go.
24:44Hello there. This is Rav Wilding from the Scam Interceptor Programme.
24:47They are thieves trying to steal from you.
24:49Who the hell are you?
24:51I've just told you my name's Rav Wilding. What's your name, pal?
24:55Why don't you tell us your real name?
24:57Instead of pretending you're from the National Crime Agency.
25:02What's your name?
25:03I've just told you it's Rav Wilding. What's your name?
25:06You're a thief. You're a scammer.
25:09Do you know us?
25:11Yeah, we do. What's your name?
25:13We know you're not from the National Crime Agency.
25:15It's none of your business.
25:17It's none of your business.
25:19You're a thief. You're a scammer. It's totally my business.
25:23We know you're in Srinigal.
25:27You know people can and do go to prison for this, don't you?
25:29Okay.
25:30Yeah, we know where you are.
25:31We've been monitoring you for a long time.
25:33Why don't you tell us your real name?
25:35What's your name?
25:39I told you that's none of your business.
25:41It's totally my business.
25:42It's what we do.
25:43We stop people getting scammed by people like you.
25:45What's the view of the river like out of your window?
25:52Why don't you come here in person to look at me?
25:55Oh, I would love to.
25:56I would love to.
25:57There's quite a few things I'd like to say to you.
25:59But why do you do this?
26:00How would you like it if your family were scammed?
26:06The scammer hangs up.
26:07And after this, they change their passwords in an attempt to stop us disrupting their operation further.
26:13But they don't realise that we won't stop until they shut down for good.
26:21They're still going.
26:23I don't think they understand how we're listening to their calls.
26:27And so they've not done anything to either change their settings or try and kick us out, apart from change one password.
26:34I mean, they're persistent, but we are going to be even more persistent.
26:37Of course.
26:38We'll stay on them until they start doing this.
26:39We will disrupt this lot as much as we possibly can because they are ruthless and they are taking thousands and thousands of innocent people's money.
26:47Yep.
26:48So we've got to put a stop to it.
26:49Quite right.
26:51We dial in again.
26:52This man's a liar.
26:53He's nothing to do with a national crime agency.
26:56Please put down the phone.
26:58Who are you?
26:59My name's Rav Wilding.
27:00I work on a program called Scam Interceptors.
27:03He's lying.
27:04He's a scammer.
27:05He's a scammer.
27:06Look it up online so you can see how you verify a national crime agency officer.
27:10They don't phone you out of the blue.
27:12It comes off.
27:13The scammer quits the call.
27:15And this time...
27:17They've all gone off the server straight away.
27:19Okay.
27:20So that voice I recognised as one we've listened in to before.
27:22Yeah.
27:23For sure.
27:24For sure.
27:25And he seemed almost deflated at that point that we've disrupted yet another attempt at him to steal money off someone.
27:30I couldn't agree more.
27:31He sounded like he almost couldn't believe that we were there again.
27:34Because they've gone to the trouble of changing passwords.
27:37They really thought that would be it.
27:38And it would be over.
27:39No such luck.
27:41I think they're going to realise now that their server is completely compromised.
27:44Yeah.
27:45So right now Nick, looking at the screen, how many from that group are active making calls?
27:50Nothing.
27:51We have the message on the screen that we very much like to see, which is no live calls waiting.
27:55No agents on calls.
27:57Top work.
27:58Fact check.
27:59It's nice actually.
28:00It does, doesn't it?
28:01And that's them booted.
28:03Finally, we seem to have done it.
28:07The NCA scammers have been forced to completely abandon their server.
28:12And we haven't heard from them since.
28:14We also reported them to the relevant authorities, including the real UK National Crime Agency.
28:20And it told us it would never contact individuals requesting money, gift cards or bank details.
28:27I've seen a movie inrat.
28:28The NCA Double & finest.
28:29The NCA Party.
28:30Passing up too much, can run at them if they passed off for years.
28:31patriarchs how slain is.
28:32To the evil, don't MAC
