Kanye “Ye” West has been suspended from Twitter after he tweeted a now-deleted post featuring a swastika Thursday evening.
Transcript
00:00Kanye Ye West is once again in hot water with Twitter, being suspended from the social platform after tweeting a now-deleted post featuring a swastika.
00:10After a chaotic day on Thursday when the rapper appeared on Alex Jones' Infowars show and repeatedly said he liked Adolf Hitler,
00:19Ye posted a series of controversial tweets, including supposed text messages between himself and Twitter CEO Elon Musk.
00:26Among the tweets, which include praise and support for Balenciaga following the recent backlash against the company, Ye posted a picture of a swastika merged with a star of David.
00:37Twitter deleted the offending post and Ye's tweet storm came to an abrupt end.
00:42Suspecting he may get suspended, Ye also tweeted an unflattering picture of Musk being hosed by Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel on a yacht.
00:50Musk, a self-described free speech absolutist, confirmed that Ye had been suspended, first replying that is fine to the unflattering picture, but this is not to the now-deleted swastika tweet.
01:02After a Twitter user tweeted at Musk to fix Kanye, please, the CEO replied, I tried my best.
01:09Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended.
01:14On Truth Social, Ye's verified account posted another picture of his text interaction with Musk, as well as a screenshot showing that he was locked out of his account for 12 hours.
01:25Ye was only recently reinstated to Twitter following Musk's takeover of the company and pledged to reinstate prominent accounts such as the Rappers, former President Donald Trump's and Jordan Peterson's.
