00:00Let's move on to the tight end position here.
00:02Juwan Johnson is at Miami.
00:03He is one of maybe two or three offensive options for the Saints, if any.
00:08Or Dalton Schultz in the same Houston at Indianapolis game.
00:12Yeah, Dalton Schultz is another tough one, too.
00:14Again, both these guys are startable.
00:16The matchup against Indianapolis for Schultz is pretty good.
00:19You did see against Buffalo, all of a sudden it got quiet again.
00:22But at the same time, I think you're looking ahead and saying,
00:25all right, who gives me the best floor?
00:27And I think Juwan Johnson does a tight end.
00:29But Tyler Schultz has been okay.
00:31He hasn't been great by any stretch of the means.
00:34But he's made a couple plays when he's needed to.
00:36They're going against Miami.
00:38Now, here's the one thing I will say.
00:40Miami's defense has gotten better in these last couple weeks.
00:42Since they fired the GM, all of a sudden maybe people realize,
00:45hey, we might be out of jobs next year.
00:47We better start putting some good tape together for other teams
00:50to maybe be interested in us.
00:51And all of a sudden the defense has played a little bit better.
00:53Now, I think Juwan Johnson, if you look at what Tyler Schultz has taken over,
00:56those young QBs, they look for the checkdowns.
00:59They look for the tight end.
01:00You don't have Alvin Kamara in this game either.
01:02So he is out.
01:03We'll talk more about Devin Neal later in the show.
01:05But we also take him out of the passing game.
01:07It means a lot more of the underneath stuff is going to be Juwan Johnson.
01:10He had seven targets, caught six of them for 46 yards.
01:13In PPR, that's going to give you 10 points.
01:15Again, who's got more touchdown equity?
01:17Probably Dalton Schultz.
01:19But in terms of PPR floor, I think it's Juwan Johnson.
01:21I think he could easily, you know, the week before the bye,
01:24he was a four for four for 92 yards and he had a touchdown.
01:27So again, I'll always lean towards a better quarterback with the Houston Texans
01:31than Tyler Schuch.
01:33But at the same time, I think Juwan Johnson,
01:35because of the way that team is structured now,
01:37without Alvin Kamara playing this week,
01:39I think Juwan Johnson has a really good chance to give you a good floor.
01:42And he has enough touchdown equity to get you by.
01:44You know, he does have two touchdowns in his last three games.
01:48Yep.
01:48All right.
01:49We're talking to Joe P. Zappia,
01:50the author of the Fantasy Black Book.
01:51It is available right now.
01:54Joey P., my man, on the other side of the break,
01:57we're going to do some waiver wire questions.
01:59So at SportsCrete, at SportsCreteTV, get him in.
02:02But right now, we're talking start, sit.
02:04All right.
02:04Let's go over to New York for these next couple of ones.
02:07This first one is Jacoby Brissett, who's been great at Tampa,
02:10or Jackson Dart coming out of concussion protocol to start Monday night at New England.
02:15Joe, which way should I go?
02:17Again, both guys, very startable.
02:19But I think I'm going to lean towards Jacoby Brissett here.
02:21He's just a little bit safer.
02:23Jackson Dart, you have the risk, too,
02:24because he's coming out of concussion protocol to get hit again.
02:27You know, his style of play is pretty rough.
02:30Like, again, he comes out, he's in that blue tent,
02:32and next thing you know, he's out of that game.
02:33And I don't know if you can afford to have that happen.
02:35If you're looking at what Jacoby Brissett has done, too,
02:37in these last couple of weeks, since he's taken over the reins,
02:40it's pretty impressive.
02:41And I don't think a lot of people have realized this.
02:43So let's go back to week six for a moment.
02:4521.7 points.
02:47That was good for QB7.
02:4919.8 points.
02:50Good for QB12 that week.
02:5224.8 points.
02:53QB10.
02:5419 in week 10 against Seattle, a very tough defense.
02:57Still was QB10.
02:5923.9 against San Francisco.
03:02QB4.
03:03Jacksonville, 18.7, QB8.
03:06So he's basically been a QB1 every single week.
03:08And now he gets the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense
03:12that has not been great these last few weeks.
03:14So I'm going to go ahead.
03:15I'm going to start Jacoby Brissett.
03:16He's been a QB1.
03:17Jackson Dart, a little bit too risky for me
03:19when compared to Brissett.
03:21All right.
03:22We stay in beautiful New Jersey.
03:25Just picturesque and gorgeous.
03:27And if you can sense the sarcasm in my voice, I'm happy.
03:30All right, John Mechie III for the New York Jets
03:34has the Atlanta Falcons.
03:35Or is it Ramondre Stevenson, considering Travion Henderson's surge
03:40who needs RB 38 against the Giants?
03:43What we're doing here is a wide receiver 49 against a running back 38.
03:46Which one do I start?
03:47I like John Mechie here, especially in the PPR leagues.
03:51Look, John Mechie is a talented player.
03:53When Alabama was going to national championships a couple years ago,
03:56John Mechie was the guy that moved the chains.
03:58He was the possession-wide receiver in that offense.
04:00And Jameson Williams was the guy that was the big play,
04:03you know, take the top off the defense, playmaker,
04:05we need a big moment here guy.
04:08But Mechie was the one that was reliable in that sense
04:10that you just, you know, five yards, eight yards,
04:12just moving the chains, moving the chains.
04:14And then he goes to the Houston Texans at the time,
04:16an awful organization and team.
04:18And then he has the cancer diagnosis.
04:20And it's been like an uphill battle just to come back and play football.
04:23And now John Mechie's in the spot here with Tyron Taylor,
04:25where I like what he's doing here.
04:27And I thought it was a good pickup for them when the Jets did it.
04:29That first game that he played, really,
04:31when he started against New England, he got three of his three balls,
04:34seven targets last week, six catches for 65 and a touchdown.
04:37He's got a touchdown in each of those games with Taylor as well.
04:39So this one's clear for me.
04:41I'm staying away from Ramondre and I'm going John Mechie for sure.
04:43And I think Mechie's an interesting pickup too.
04:45If he's still available in your leagues,
04:47you should be looking to add him.
04:49He is under 50% rostered and he should not be.
04:52So John Mechie,
04:53another one of these guys that you should be adding this week for a stretch run.
04:56And if you have Amon Ross St. Brown,
04:57he's a really nice little, like a patchwork guy for week 14.
05:01Get ahead of things if you can.
