00:04confirmed that Trevorrow will direct Jurassic World 3. The director is currently working
00:09with Pacific Rim Uprising writer Emily Carmichael on the script for the feature, which was
00:14announced last month by Universal and given a release date of June 11, 2021. Trevorrow and
00:19Carmichael will executive produce along with franchise patriarch Steven Spielberg. Frank
00:24Marshall and Pat Crowley are returning as producers. Trevorrow was tapped by Spielberg to direct the
00:29first installment in the rebooted franchise that hit theaters in 2015. It went on to gross
00:34$1.6 billion at the global box office. The Jurassic World sequel, Fallen Kingdom, hits theaters
00:40on June 22. Trevorrow and Spielberg are executive producing the feature from director J.A. Bayona.

00:52Jurassic World 3 marks the first blockbuster Trevorrow has booked following his exit from Star Wars
00:57Episode 9 last year. Directing duties for that film have since been handed over to Force Awakens
