Woody Norman chats with THR at 'The Electric State' premiere and describes the collaborative atmosphere the Russo Brothers created on the set. Plus, he talks about the possibility of working with the Russo Brothers in the Marvel Universe.

00:03You know, that's all I can say.
00:06It's so weird to be here.

00:10Is this your first premiere?
00:11It's not my first premiere.
00:12It's my first one in L.A.
00:13And this is very different than the one in Utah.
00:15Okay, yeah.
00:16What's a Utah premiere like?
00:18Well, it was Sundance, so it's pretty cool.
00:19But, like, it was really cool.
00:21But, like, this is a lot of people, and they're all shouting at me.
00:24So it's a lot.
00:25Well, this is a big one.
00:26I mean, this is some of the biggest stars, the biggest directors.
00:29What was the most fun and unique part about being directed by the Russos?
00:34Honestly, just, like, the fact that they're people.
00:37And they aren't, like...
00:38Because when you think about these really famous people, it's really easy to dehumanize them.
00:43And then you sit down, you have a chat, and you see, oh, they like coffee, the same way that I like it.
00:47And they love film, and they love directing, and they love doing all the things they do.
00:52And it was so cool.
00:53The first, like, work thing I did with them is I sat on a Zoom call and just talked about the character for, like, an hour.
00:58And that was really cool to just be able to do that and have almost, in that moment, it felt like shared creative control with the Russo brothers.

01:09It was really fun.
01:10They tend to, I mean, they love working with the same people over and over again.
01:13I think there's five, at least that I've counted five people that are also in Marvel films.
01:17So now that they're going back to Marvel, do you have any interest in, I mean, have you been trying to pick their brains a bit?
01:21I mean, that would be cool if they're listening.
