00:00I love how much fight culture is a part of your blood and how much you support the actual culture of fighting.
00:05Like, it's such a through line. And Rick Flagg, that man can fight.
00:08That man can fight.
00:09In the DC universe, who do you want to throw hands with most?
00:12John Cena.
00:13All right, that makes sense.
00:14He's earned it.
00:15Yeah, I want to beat that man down.
00:17Now, you've gotten to work with James on an amazing through line here between Creature Commandos and to Peacemaker through Superman.
00:23What is it about working with him in different mediums that you, as an actor, that's done so much, appreciates most of him as a writer-director?
00:28It's a great question. And you know what? Trust.
00:31Yeah.
00:31And every script is done. It's, you know, when I did Creature, all eight scripts were done.
00:37When I did Superman, I read my, I was like, wow, I don't have any questions. I get it.
00:42And then when I got to Peacemaker, you know, every script was done again.
00:47I just had to show up and kind of be prepared.
00:49And he's a joy, as a director, he just knows exactly what he wants.
00:54I mean, if I could just work with him for the rest of my life, which isn't long, I would do that.
00:59Now your voice work in Creature Commandos really impressed me because acting and voice acting are different animals, man.
01:03And it's great work.
01:05Oh, thank you.
01:06Again, it's on the page.
01:07Sure.
01:08It's on the page.
01:09And, you know, he told me who this guy was and then he let me play and we had a good time.
01:14Your chemistry with Harbor is sensational.
01:16I was literally on the ground.
01:18Harbor is the funniest guy I've ever met.
01:19And David and I have worked together before, but that guy is brilliant.
01:23And quick.
01:24Oh, my gosh.
01:25He's amazing.
01:26So how was it different after playing Flag in the voice booth getting to be him physically?
01:29Because there's so much physicality in Flag.
01:31Did you feel different in your body on the day on camera?
01:33Well, kind of like I got promoted when I did.
01:36You know what I mean?
01:37So just a different circumstance.
01:39But it was the same guy.
01:40All right.
01:40And it was kind of easy.
01:42Yeah.
01:43Yeah.
01:43It was really easy.
01:44And I've been loving it.
01:45And then they threw me in Superman, this connective line here.
01:48And I'm just really grateful.
01:51Now, Wolves and so many other things your kids have been proud of.
01:54But now Superman, that's a pretty big one.
01:56How is it to have them in this corner with Superman being your, you know, co-star?
01:59Yeah, my, I mean, co-star's stretching it.
02:03But my kid, my little guy, my youngest is 17.
02:07He is a superhero aficionado.
02:09He's just stoked.
02:10He knows James.
02:11They had dinner together.
02:13And, yeah, my kids are really excited.
02:16Now, looking ahead to Peacemaker, what can we look forward to?
02:18Because this is a long-run, five-plus-year revenge tour through three properties.
02:23There's nothing quite like this.
02:24I know.
02:25First of all, it's raunchy.
02:27Yeah.
02:28In the best of ways.
02:29And I just think it's, and I watched the first season a couple times.
02:33I think it tops the first season.
02:35Yeah.
02:35I think the dance in the beginning is better.
02:38And I didn't know I knew how to dance.
02:41I talked to your dance coordinator about dancing, and she said you gave it your all many times.
02:45And it's, yeah.
02:45I'm sober.
02:47Sober.
02:48Yeah.
02:48It shows.
02:49The gumption's there, man.
02:50I'll always ask for more kingdom, but I appreciate your work at all times.
02:53Thank you, brother.
02:53Thank you, brother.
