00:00Welcome to the 1989 era. We're finally getting our hands on 1989 Taylor's version.
00:08Taylor Swift revealed the big news on 8-9 during the last stop in LA for her mega successful
00:13Eras tour, announcing to a very enthusiastic crowd that fans will be able to get their
00:18hands on her latest re-record on October 27th.
00:21I think instead of just like telling you about it, I think I'll just sort of show you
00:30it's crazy.
00:34Following months of speculation and easter eggs from Taylor herself, the announcement
00:38was finally made, appropriately coming 8 years, 9 months and 13 days after the release of the
00:44original album, which was home to hits such as Shake It Off, Blank Space, Style and Wildest Dreams,
00:58among others.
01:02Taylor took to social media following the major announcement, showing off the album cover,
01:06and revealing that the re-record will include 5 previously unreleased songs from the vault.
01:12surprise! 1989 Taylor's version is on its way to you.
01:16The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to
01:21announce that my version of it will be out October 27th.
01:25To be perfectly honest, this is my most favorite re-record I've ever done,
01:29because the five from the vault tracks are so insane.
01:32I can't believe they were ever left behind, but not for long.
01:361989 was a seminal moment in the superstar's career as it officially marked her transition
01:41into the pop genre landscape after starting her career as a country singer-songwriter.
01:47Her fifth studio album nabbed 10 Grammy nominations, winning Album of the Year,
01:52Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Music Video for Bad Blood.
01:59At the time, Swift had made history by becoming the first woman to win the Grammy
02:03for Album of the Year twice for her solo recordings.
02:07Years later, Swift became the only female solo artist to have won that top prize three times,
02:12after winning Album of the Year for Folklore. 1989, Taylor's Version follows the release of
02:18Fearless, Taylor's Version, Red, Taylor's Version, and Speak Now, Taylor's Version,
02:23in what has been a well-thought-out and long journey to own her masters.
