00:00:08With a new release expected any day now.
00:00:20Miss O'Hara, excuse me.
00:00:22Miss O'Hara, may I bother you from the autograph?
00:00:24Oh, you won't bother me at all. It's a pleasure.
00:00:30Thank you. I'm a hero.
00:00:44Olivia!

00:03:09Jenny! Hi!
00:03:11Come here!
00:03:13Oh!
00:03:15I didn't know you were coming for Christmas.
00:03:17Me neither. You know, I think you've grown
00:03:19an inch since you last visited me in L.A.
00:03:21I'm actually the shortest in fifth grade.
00:03:23But I make up for it in spirit.
00:03:25I believe it.
00:03:26Mr. Porter says it's not the size of the player that counts.
00:03:29It's the size of their game.
00:03:31Oh, thank you.
00:03:33Mom, look who it is!
00:03:38Ah!
00:03:39Mom!
00:03:41Olivia!
00:03:42Hi, Mom.
00:03:45We didn't realize that you were coming.
00:03:48Oh, I wanted to see you guys. I missed you.
00:03:49We missed you, too.
00:03:51How are you doing with everything?
00:03:54Uh, great.
00:03:56You know, single and ready to jingle.
00:03:58Just, you know, I'm happy to be home.
00:04:01Maybe Liv can stay in my room.
00:04:02We wouldn't even have sleepovers every night.
00:04:04I think your sister might need a little space
00:04:07just to recover after her travels.
00:04:09We kept your room exactly the same.
00:04:11Oh, thank you, Mom.
00:04:12I'm sorry.
00:04:12I should have called.
00:04:13No!
00:04:14Don't worry.
00:04:14This is the best surprise.
00:04:17Oh, and you can help us make pie.
00:04:18Oh, I would love to.
00:04:19Oh.
00:04:19I'm so glad you're at home.
00:04:26Everyone's home for the holidays!
00:04:29Okay, come.
00:04:30Yes, okay.
00:04:32Wow, it looks amazing.
00:04:37This is so A-list.
00:04:39Oh, go ahead.
00:04:40Try it on.
00:04:41Oh, wow, wow, wow.
00:04:56Do these look good?
00:04:57They sure do.
00:04:58Hey, and feel free to borrow anything.
00:05:00It's the sister rule.
00:05:02Is this for me?
00:05:04Uh, maybe.
00:05:05I guess you'll have to wait and see.
00:05:06Okay, I know this isn't for me.
00:05:21What isn't for?
00:05:22Sorry.
00:05:24It's okay.
00:05:26Turns out it's not for me either.
00:05:30I know.
00:05:32You do?
00:05:33Yeah.
00:05:35Did Mom tell you?
00:05:37I have the girls at school talk about it.
00:05:40At Twitter.
00:05:41My Facebook news.
00:05:43Mrs. Taylor down the street.
00:05:44Well, they'll, uh, forget about it by Christmas.
00:05:47Are you staying until Christmas?
00:05:49Yeah, of course I am.
00:05:50Yes.
00:05:50Let me just unpack a little more, and I will meet you in the kitchen.
00:05:54I'm so happy you're here.
00:05:56We've missed you so much.
00:06:00Oh, I miss you too.
00:06:02So I need to make sure we have enough flour.
00:06:13Not too much flour.
00:06:14That's kind of perfect.
00:06:15Okay.
00:06:16Now the secret is to work the pastry as little as possible so that it stays tender and flaky.
00:06:21Okay?
00:06:22What are you making?
00:06:23Grandma Mary's pumpkin or my personal favorite, North Pole pie?
00:06:27Pumpkin.
00:06:28That North Pole pie, I begged your dad to give me the recipe, but it was his secret.
00:06:33But maybe your sister and I can figure out how to cook it while you're here.
00:06:37I love a challenge.
00:06:40There's eight days until Christmas, so once Janie perfects her pie crust recipe, we can
00:06:46start putting in orders.
00:06:48This is just my practice pie.
00:06:49Well, I hope we get to practice eating it.
00:06:53Hang on a second.
00:06:54Does this recipe call for regular milk or condensed milk, huh?
00:07:03Uh, condensed.
00:07:05Oh, that's what I was afraid of.
00:07:06Well, I mean, I can just go to the store.
00:07:09It's kind of a special ingredient.
00:07:10Maybe get two cans.
00:07:11You can use the truck while you're here.
00:07:13Wait, Dad's truck?
00:07:14You still have it?
00:07:23Well, no one will expect me in this.
00:07:36Oh, Dad, I really miss these old CDs.
00:07:53Oh, Dad.
00:08:02Oh, Dad.
00:08:06Oh, when the clock is striking, swell.
00:08:11When I'm fast asleep.
00:08:14Down that chimney, broad and black.
00:08:16With your pack, you're free.
00:08:18Oh, this is dark.
00:08:21Rumor has it our very own Olivia O'Hellig is the town for the holidays.
00:08:28If you're lucky, you just might spot her around.
00:08:32Welcome home, Olivia, and Merry Christmas from all of us here at Valley Hill.
00:08:45Aha, found you.
00:08:53Olivia O'Hara?
00:08:55Hmm?
00:08:58Casey Rollins.
00:08:59We went to high school together.
00:09:01Oh, my gosh, Casey.
00:09:03Hi, of course I remember you.
00:09:05How are you?
00:09:05I'm good.
00:09:07Thanks.
00:09:08How are you?
00:09:09Me?
00:09:11Yeah, I mean, I'm great.
00:09:12Things are great.
00:09:14That's great.
00:09:15You look great.
00:09:17Perfectly framed.
00:09:18Oh, okay.
00:09:22What's it been, 10 years?
00:09:24Um, 12.
00:09:26Wow, time flies.
00:09:29So you're home for the holidays?
00:09:31Um, yes.
00:09:32Yes, the holidays.
00:09:33Yeah, I'm definitely home for the holidays.
00:09:35Well, uh, happy holidays.
00:09:42Happy holidays.
00:09:46Okay.
00:09:47Okay.
00:09:47Will that be all?
00:09:59Uh, yeah, that's everything.
00:10:00Oh, and the hat.
00:10:04Hi, Gordon.
00:10:05It's Olivia.
00:10:05I know.
00:10:07I'd recognize that smile anywhere.
00:10:09Um, how's your family?
00:10:12Well, the, uh, kids have kids now, and they're all home for Christmas.
00:10:16Wow.
00:10:16Well, uh, tell everybody that I said hello.
00:10:19I'll do that.
00:10:20That's, uh, 1475.
00:10:22Come on.
00:10:28Oh, and, uh, one for you, and one for your sister.
00:10:33Merry Christmas, Gordon.
00:10:35Must be my lucky day.
00:10:36Come on, come on, come on, come on.
00:10:56Need a hand?
00:11:00Hey.
00:11:01Hey.
00:11:03Help this for me?
00:11:04Uh, yeah.
00:11:06It sounds like it's not turning over, which makes me think it might be the starter.
00:11:22Oh.
00:11:23Yeah.
00:11:24I think you're gonna need a tow.
00:11:27Let's just go from bad to worse.
00:11:29Is the snow getting to you already?
00:11:31Oh, no, it's, it's not that.
00:11:33It's just...
00:11:34What?
00:11:35I'm sure you've already heard.
00:11:37It's kind of all over the entertainment shows, but...
00:11:40I don't watch much TV.
00:11:41I've got three channels, and two of them are the weather.
00:11:45Okay.
00:11:46Hey, Jim, it's Casey.
00:11:48Yeah, I'm at, uh, Gordon's Groceries with an old friend, and she needs a tow.
00:11:54An hour.
00:11:55Yeah.
00:11:56No, no, no, I understand.
00:11:57Okay, thanks, Jim.
00:11:58Well, um, better get walking.
00:12:02I'm on a bit of a timeline, so...
00:12:05It's pretty dark.
00:12:06Couldn't I walk you home?
00:12:09Um, yeah, that'd be great.
00:12:13Perfect.
00:12:15Okay.
00:12:15It's funny I bumped into you.
00:12:34I was just thinking I needed some expert advice.
00:12:37Expert?
00:12:38Ooh, you normally play a genius in the movies, right?
00:12:41It's good enough for me.
00:12:42So how would you get a classroom to focus on Shakespearean classics?
00:12:55I'm finding it challenging.
00:12:56But the language, it's so beautiful.
00:12:58It reads like a song.
00:13:00I know.
00:13:01The kids today, they're different than you are.
00:13:04Or than you are.
00:13:05How do you mean?
00:13:07I saw you in all your plays.
00:13:08You were incredible.
00:13:10You know all the words?
00:13:11It's not their fault, though.
00:13:13They're distracted.
00:13:14Literally every answer is with their finger text.
00:13:17So analyzing the Shakespearean sonnet, that's tough.
00:13:20But Shakespeare isn't about answers.
00:13:23It's about an experience.
00:13:25Well, when you say it like that, they might actually listen.
00:13:28Your family sure loves getting the Christmas spirit.
00:13:34Yeah, they sure do.
00:13:37Is it too much?
00:13:38No.
00:13:39Never too much Christmas.
00:13:41You should see my place.
00:13:46Well?
00:13:48All right.
00:13:48Better get going.
00:13:50It was nice seeing you.
00:13:55Bye, Liv.
00:13:56Uh, Casey.
00:14:00Yeah.
00:14:03Thank you for helping with the truck.
00:14:06Maybe I could visit your students to repay you.
00:14:09Classroom 120, Monday to Friday, pretty much all the time.
00:14:13120, anytime.
00:14:16Got it.
00:14:17Hmm.
00:14:44Hmm.
00:14:45Hmm.
00:14:45Hmm.

00:16:30art to fight evil five times i thought it was full of remarkable messages for young girls janey's age
00:16:37you have to fight for what you believe in and our favorite you can still kick butt on a bad hair day
00:16:44i actually wrote that line in i was trying to add some depth i guess i knew it didn't i say

00:17:36challenge yes at a crucial step in the recipe halfway through i found myself missing a key
00:17:42component do you mind if we luckily i was able to keep myself and my dough chill enough while my
00:17:47assistant was able to secure the secret ingredient well and i just have to say that i find the the
00:17:52presentation of the whipped cream like not just on top of the pie but almost entirely covering it
00:17:58is a is a brand new technique for me thank you i like to give all of my dishes a little step of my

00:35:19Yeah, just let me go.
00:35:49Laura, hey, it's Olivia.
00:35:53There's a paparazzi named Stephanie Mitchell from Universal Star Magazine in my hometown.
00:35:58Whatever story she's writing, end it.
00:36:01End it now.
00:36:01Oh, it's so cold.
00:36:17Good morning, Mr. Ector.
00:36:18How was your sleep?
00:36:19Oh, I just, you know, need a coffee.
00:36:21Oh, thank you.
00:36:24So nice.
00:36:30Olivia.
00:36:31Nicole.
00:36:32Hi.
00:36:32Hi, how are you?
00:36:34Better now.
00:36:35There's no way I could ever thank you enough.
00:36:39You are a Christmas miracle.
00:36:42But, cookies?
00:36:44Oh my gosh, two boys and one on the way.
00:36:47Where do you find the time to make these?
00:36:48During the holidays, we turn them into an assembly line.
00:36:51One cuts the shapes in frost, and the youngest one mostly just makes a mess.
00:36:54Oh.
00:36:56So, I talked to Nicole last night.
00:36:58They were halfway through rehearsals.
00:36:59So, you can just pick up where she left off.
00:37:01This is the most amazing thing that's happened all year.
00:37:04The students will love you.
00:37:05Oh, we'll see about that.
00:37:07They will.
00:37:07This whole town loves you, ever since you stole our hearts in the spring play.
00:37:11Are you kidding me?
00:37:12I looked up to you.
00:37:13You were the star of that show.
00:37:15I remember being so moved by your solo.
00:37:17Well, at the time, I could hit the high E.
00:37:19But, I don't know.
00:37:21When you stepped on stage, you just had it.
00:37:25This is the Christmas Eve playbook, tech cues, and everything else you'll need.
00:37:30I can't wait to see what you come up with.
00:37:33And, of course, if you have any questions at all, I'm only a phone call away.
00:37:37Thank you, Olivia.
00:37:39Well, thank you for the cookies.
00:37:41Thank the boys.
00:37:42Oh.
00:37:46Bye, Nicole.
00:37:50I'm just down the hall.
00:37:52You're going to do great.
00:37:58Break a leg.
00:38:07Hi, Olive.
00:38:20Oh, Miss O'Hara.
00:38:22I'm Gabby.
00:38:22I was Mrs. Hudson's assistant.
00:38:24And I'd be really honored to continue doing that job.
00:38:27Oh, sure.
00:38:28Yeah.
00:38:28Great.
00:38:29I will take this and put this on your desk, which is right here.
00:38:33Here is the class list.
00:38:34Oh, thank you.
00:38:36Hello, everyone.
00:38:37My name is Miss O'Hara, but you can call me Olivia.
00:38:42Great.
00:38:43Okay.
00:38:43Um, well, we have Gabby.
00:38:47Um, is there Brittany?
00:38:49Brittany.
00:38:50Hi, Brittany.
00:38:51Uh, Chris.
00:38:53Chris.
00:38:54Yes, I like it.
00:38:55Uh, Jack.
00:38:59Jack Carson.
00:39:01Well, Jack Carson comes whenever he wants.
00:39:05Okay.
00:39:06Um, well, most of you are here.
00:39:09Um, so, you know what, uh, let's get started with a warm-up, if everyone can take off their
00:39:13bags and just meet me on stage.
00:39:19Oh, hey, you must be Jack.
00:39:21We're just getting started, if you'd like to join us.
00:39:25All right.
00:39:27Okay.
00:39:29So, there's something else we have to take off, our cool.
00:39:33This is a place to be open, to be free, to be you.
00:39:36Nicole did a great job with the play already.
00:39:39They're almost off book.
00:39:40I taught them a little trick to help them memorize their lines, and, I mean, they seem
00:39:44to like it.
00:39:45You are a natural.
00:39:46Well, I couldn't get Jack Carson to join in, but...
00:39:49Yeah, Jack's a tough one to get through, too.
00:39:52Lost his dad last year.
00:39:55You know, I think you might be the one who can finally reach him.
00:39:59Me?
00:40:00I want to show you something.
00:40:01Okay.
00:40:06Your mom presents it every year.
00:40:17I had no idea.
00:40:22This is amazing.
00:40:26He was...
00:40:27Oh, he was so supportive and generous.
00:40:31Well, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
00:40:33I'll, uh, see you tomorrow.
00:40:50I'll see you tomorrow.
00:40:50I'll see you tomorrow.
00:40:50Hey, do you have the tape?
00:41:09Are all of these for Janie?
00:41:11I know.
00:41:13I just can't help myself.
00:41:15Well, I hope my online shopping makes it on time.
00:41:17I managed to bring a few things from L.A., but your present is our present.
00:41:24I forgot how special it feels to be home for Christmas.
00:41:27Yeah.
00:41:28Hawaii was nice with everyone a couple years ago, but...
00:41:30But the surfing Santas don't really cut it, do they?
00:41:32I know.
00:41:35You know, I just had this story in my head that I...
00:41:39I couldn't be at home at Christmas without Dad.
00:41:42Yeah.
00:41:42I understand.
00:41:45I mean, you know, I've learned that Christmas really is a time when we can be with everybody again,
00:41:51even if it's just in memories or, you know, traditions.
00:41:57Who can that be?
00:42:07Whoa.
00:42:09John has good taste.
00:42:11They're for you.
00:42:12What?
00:42:18They're from Ryan.
00:42:22I haven't heard from him since you broke up.
00:42:24Our engagement over text.
00:42:25Honey, I'm so sorry.
00:42:30It's okay.
00:42:32We had been drifting apart for a while, and...
00:42:35Our schedules were never really matching up.
00:42:38He wasn't always so into being famous.
00:42:40He was really sweet and humble, and he would write these songs.
00:42:46But now he's just...
00:42:47So, are you going to let him know that you got his flowers?
00:42:51I...
00:42:52I don't know how I feel about all this.
00:42:56I just...
00:42:57You know what?
00:42:57I want to be home for Christmas and focus on the students and the play.
00:43:01You know, whenever life has handed you a challenge, you have always managed to turn it into something just magical.
00:43:10And that is exactly what you're doing with this play at the school.
00:43:14I hope so.
00:43:16I hope so.
00:43:17Oh, it is, honey.
00:43:19I can feel it.
00:43:23You want a hot chocolate?
00:43:24Yeah, I love that.
00:43:25Yeah.
00:43:25Welcome back.
00:43:48Jack, I'd like to have a spectacular ending.
00:43:51I want the audience talking about the finale into the new year, and I'm open to suggestions.
00:43:56Oh, maybe we could have snow falling on the stage.
00:43:59It's a great idea.
00:44:00Yes, Brittany.
00:44:02Um, well, I'm just hoping I don't freeze and forget everything.
00:44:05You won't.
00:44:06We'll keep practicing.
00:44:07It's going to be fantastic.
00:44:09I'd be willing to sing a solo.
00:44:11Or two.
00:44:12Okay.
00:44:15Jack, you could at least applaud every now and then if you're just going to be an audience member.
00:44:28Jack, can I see you in the hallway, please?
00:44:30Now?
00:44:30I'm just, uh, you know, keep practicing, everyone.
00:44:48Jack, this is an elective you selected for this semester.
00:44:52If you don't want to participate, then why are you here?
00:44:55Easy A.
00:44:56Okay, well, right now you're on track for an easy F.
00:44:59Whatever.
00:45:01Look, I know high school isn't easy for anyone, and I, I know it's hard to put your heart into anything after it's been...
00:45:09You don't know me.
00:45:10Okay, you're right.
00:45:11I don't.
00:45:13But I think I might be able to relate to what you're going through.
00:45:19Have you ever heard of the Michael O'Hare Memorial Scholarship?
00:45:23Of course.
00:45:24That's my dad.
00:45:27We lost him my senior year right around this time.
00:45:29I miss him every day.
00:45:36Okay, if you don't want to perform in the play, that's fine.
00:45:39But you, you can't just sit in the back.
00:45:44You have to move forward, even if it's with small steps to start.
00:45:48What am I supposed to do?
00:45:53Well, um, we could really use a hair and makeup person or a costumes captain.
00:46:02I like music.
00:46:04Okay.
00:46:05Yeah.
00:46:06Okay, music.
00:46:06That's great.
00:46:07Um, we could really use a soundtrack.
00:46:10Christmas carols?
00:46:11Okay.
00:46:11Yeah.
00:46:12I don't know.
00:46:13Uh, I make beats.
00:46:15Yes.
00:46:17Okay.
00:46:17How about some carols and some original music?
00:46:21Yeah, maybe.
00:46:22Okay.
00:46:23And maybe you could bring in some recordings for, like, maybe the end of the week?
00:46:28Sure.
00:46:30Okay.
00:46:31Okay.
00:48:32The show's tomorrow and we don't have a Santa costume.
00:48:35The school doesn't have any costumes in storage.
00:48:37Maybe I can make a beard with cotton balls?
00:48:39I will just, I will go out and pick up everything we need.
00:48:42We need a lot.
00:48:43It'll be my Christmas present to the class.
00:48:46Hey.
00:48:47Hey, everyone.
00:48:49Thank you so much for all your hard work.
00:48:52I am so excited to see you up there on the big stage of the community hall.
00:48:55Whatever your department needs, write it down on Gabby's list and I will take care of everything.
00:49:00I got this.
00:49:03Yeah.
00:49:03And kiss you too.
00:49:18Have a Merry Christmas.
00:49:20Take care.
00:49:21First one and last one out, Mr. Rollins.
00:49:24I'd squeeze in one last practice and Merry Christmas.
00:49:31Thank you for coming out on Saturdays for our games.
00:49:34Oh, Casey.
00:49:36You shouldn't have, but I'll take it.
00:49:37Is there anyone else special on your list this year?
00:49:44Like?
00:49:45I've seen the way you and Olivia look at each other.
00:49:51I'm not a celebrity and she's a movie star.
00:49:54She's also just a girl trying to find her way in the world.
00:49:58You're a great guy, Casey, and I know teaching fulfills you, but I'm afraid you don't know what you're missing.
00:50:05I stopped by the rehearsal room.
00:50:07She wasn't there.
00:50:09I'd check the diner if I were you.
00:50:14Some things are worth fighting for.
00:50:16And there's no better time than Christmas for a little magic.
00:50:29I hope you're trying to reach your shoulder.
00:50:33Go home.
00:50:37Hi there, Stephanie.
00:51:07Hand over the camera.
00:51:08No.
00:51:14Thank you, Starla.
00:51:15No one messes with our Olivia.
00:51:18You got this?
00:51:18Yeah, I do.
00:51:19Oh, this is heavier than I expected.
00:51:27It feels expensive.
00:51:28Yeah, so expensive.
00:51:30Can I have it back?
00:51:31I think I'll keep it.
00:51:32If I don't get a story to my editor by Christmas, I will lose my job.
00:51:37Then you should have chosen another line of work.
00:51:40I went to journalism school.
00:51:41I wanted to tell stories of hope and humanity.
00:51:43I wanted to tell stories of hope and humanity, but this is what everyone wants.
00:51:47To watch along as my life implodes.
00:51:49It's not right.
00:51:50It's not right.
00:51:51It's not.
00:51:52But the only stories that sell more magazines are ones of redemption, which is why I was trying
00:51:57to get some shots of you and your new boyfriend.
00:51:59He's not my boyfriend.
00:52:00He's not my boyfriend.
00:52:05All right.
00:52:06You can have the camera back if you turn over everything you have on me.
00:52:11Photos, journals, digital copies.
00:52:13Tell your editor that I didn't come home.
00:52:15I wasn't here.
00:52:17Please.
00:52:18Come on.
00:52:19This is my life.
00:52:23Okay.
00:52:25Deal.
00:52:27Deal.
00:52:29Clary's Christiansen boots aren't made for Colorado winters, are they?
00:52:35Tell me about it.
00:52:38Thank you, Stephanie.
00:52:47Oh, thank you for the backup, Starla.
00:52:49I'll take my check, please.
00:52:50Okay.
00:52:53Don't take too much work home with you.
00:52:55Casey.
00:52:56Yeah, well, you know, big show tomorrow night.
00:52:59Hey, listen, since you're going to be busy for the next couple nights, maybe you'd like
00:53:04to go out tonight.
00:53:06Tonight?
00:53:07Like, like a real date?
00:53:11Yeah, tonight.
00:53:12Like a real date.
00:53:14Yeah, I'd love to.
00:53:18No, I have got this.
00:53:20Technically, you got the last one.
00:53:21I will pick you up at eight.
00:53:24Eight?
00:53:24I'll be ready.
00:53:34Uh, no peeking.
00:53:36Oh, hi.
00:53:40Sorry.
00:53:41I thought it was your mom.
00:53:43You know, she always knows what I'm going to get her.
00:53:45Every year.
00:53:46I don't know how she does it.
00:53:47She holds a gift.
00:53:49She looks at it.
00:53:50She knows.
00:53:52This year, my goal is to actually surprise her.
00:53:54Wow.
00:53:59Well, I mean, whatever it is, she's going to love it.
00:54:03Well, good, because I love her.
00:54:06You really do.
00:54:08Yeah.
00:54:08Thank you for being there for her when I couldn't, and for making her so happy again.
00:54:17I envy the kind of love that you two have.
00:54:20It'll happen for you two, Liv.
00:54:24Anytime, kid.
00:54:28Honey, close the door.
00:54:29Yes, of course.
00:54:38Perfect.
00:54:49Smells good.
00:54:51I hope Olivia likes it.
00:54:55Ooh.
00:54:58See, doll?
00:55:01Learn it.
00:55:01Learn it.
00:55:08What you doing?
00:55:14Getting ready for a date with Mr. Rollins.
00:55:18He's so nice.
00:55:20He really is, but I don't know what to wear.
00:55:21I don't know if it's going to be inside or outside.
00:55:24Better to always be prepared.
00:55:27Boots?
00:55:27Check.
00:55:28Well, socks?
00:55:30Board moms.
00:55:31Scarf?
00:55:31Gloves?
00:55:33Earmuffs?
00:55:34Hmm.
00:55:36Hang on.
00:55:38I was going to wait for Christmas this morning, but this seems like the perfect moment.
00:55:49Are you sure?
00:55:56I love them.
00:55:59Merry Christmas Eve Eve.
00:56:01Merry Christmas Eve Eve, Janie.
00:56:04Good luck on your date.
00:56:08You look beautiful.
00:56:30So I'm taking you to the newest restaurant in town.
00:56:33Opening night.
00:56:35Ooh, I love a premiere.
00:56:36Welcome to Casa Rollins.
00:56:49Oh, hi, Dolly.
00:56:53This is the house that you grew up in?
00:56:55It is.
00:56:57I'm house-sitting one of my parents' your wife.
00:56:59Casey, this place is...
00:57:01Christmas-y?
00:57:01I love it.
00:57:05Yeah, Dolly and I are spending Christmas this year with my parents in Florida, so you really
00:57:09get into decorating before it's all white sand instead of white snow.
00:57:14Oh, I didn't know that you were leaving.
00:57:16It's more night.
00:57:18After the play.
00:57:19Booked a Christmas Eve ride-eye flight months ago.
00:57:22So I was thinking I would bump up Christmas dinner a couple of nights.
00:57:26Yes.
00:57:32Sue?
00:57:42You made my favorite yams?
00:57:45My mom walked me through it over the phone.
00:57:48I even added the mini marshmallows.
00:57:50I don't know what to say.
00:57:56Two old friends.
00:57:58New traditions.
00:58:04That turkey was perfect.
00:58:06I'm glad you liked it.
00:58:09Room for dessert?
00:58:10Full disclosure.
00:58:12Sort of hired a pastry chef.
00:58:13North Pole pie?
00:58:19Only my dad knew how to make it.
00:58:21I talked to your mom.
00:58:23Her and Janie were practicing to surprise you.
00:58:27I lucked out.
00:58:28So, how are you feeling about the show tomorrow?
00:58:49Um, pretty good, thanks.
00:58:52We just have to sync up Jack's music with the finale.
00:58:55Jack's music?
00:58:56Yeah, he composed an original score.
00:59:00He's really come out of his shell.
00:59:01It's amazing to watch.
00:59:02And I was hoping that you could help him with the soundboard or maybe the lights.
00:59:05Yeah, of course.
00:59:07I'd love to help out.
00:59:09You know, I almost wish that I could just stay on as drama teacher and just leave Hollywood behind for a bit.
00:59:16I don't imagine this is how you pictured your life right about now.
00:59:20No.
00:59:23But there's no other place I'd rather be.
00:59:26Okay, I have a confession.
00:59:35I said that my dad made us watch all your games, but it was really just because I had the biggest crush on you.
00:59:41Really?
00:59:45I was crazy about you.
00:59:49I would search for you in the stands.
00:59:51My dad actually asked me to stop attending so much.
00:59:57That actually makes sense.
00:59:59I would get so nervous, I couldn't even shoot the ball.
01:00:05Wow.
01:00:06I only knew back then.
01:00:08Well, I mean, you know now, and here we are.
01:00:13I know peppermint and chocolate's kind of your thing.
01:00:21That was, um, was a lovely evening and an amazing meal.
01:00:37Well, thank you for sharing it with me.
01:00:49Good night.
01:00:52Good night.
01:00:53Good night.
01:01:23Liv!
01:01:32Ryan, what are you doing here?
01:01:36I miss you.
01:01:37Oh, good.
01:01:39I know.
01:01:40I deserve to feel like this.
01:01:44Get my flowers?
01:01:45Yes, but why are you here?
01:01:48I made a mistake.
01:01:49I thought Laura was the answer.
01:01:54Laura, my manager.
01:01:57I know, I know, I'm sorry.
01:01:59I messed up.
01:02:02I should have known no one compares to Olivia O'Hara.
01:02:09What if I wasn't her?
01:02:12What do you mean?
01:02:13What if I wasn't Olivia O'Hara?
01:02:15Movie star, no studio deal, no movie franchise.
01:02:18What if I was just Liv, a girl from Valley Hill?
01:02:24Uh...
01:02:24What is your single chart?
01:02:29It, uh, didn't.
01:02:32But that's not why I'm here.
01:02:39Okay, but...
01:02:40Ryan, I'm not...
01:02:42I am not going back to L.A. with you.
01:02:44I am home for Christmas.
01:02:46Olivia, I love you.
01:02:48I want us back.
01:02:51I want you back.
01:02:53I'll do whatever it takes.
01:02:56Call me.
01:02:59Okay?
01:03:07Wow.
01:03:08Wow.
01:03:08Wow.
01:03:08Wow.
01:03:18We had a deal.
01:03:42We have a deal.
01:03:43We still have a deal.
01:03:44There are photos on every magazine, on every website.
01:03:49You lied to me.
01:03:50Olivia, it wasn't me.
01:03:52What?
01:03:52I called my editor, just like you said.
01:03:54I told her you weren't in town.
01:03:55I fly out tonight.
01:03:58Olivia, I didn't write the story.
01:03:59Okay, then who wrote the story, Stephanie?
01:04:01Okay.
01:04:01Ryan Wrangler.
01:04:06Ryan?
01:04:09Ryan has a deal with the network media.
01:04:11He arranged for them to follow him to Valley Hill, and he staged the photo op.
01:04:15Wait, last night was...
01:04:16It was staged?
01:04:17I don't know what he said to you, but he knew there were cameras taking your picture,
01:04:22because he paid them to be there.
01:04:25I...
01:04:25I can't even...
01:04:27I'm so sorry, Olivia.
01:04:29Uh, I think I'm just gonna stay here tonight.
01:04:33I have to...
01:04:34Okay, I need to light down.
01:04:35Okay, hi.
01:04:45Oh, good girl.
01:05:01This packing's gonna have to wait.
01:05:03Come on.
01:05:04Oh, thank you for coming.
01:05:22I opened the theater door, but the students need supervision.
01:05:25It's no problem.
01:05:26I'll do my best to help them with the run through.
01:05:28She's probably just running behind.
01:05:30Movie stars, you know, they're always late.
01:05:32She'll be here.
01:05:34Come on.
01:05:52Look, look, don't hang up.
01:05:54Guess what?
01:05:55We're trending.
01:05:56I don't care if we're trending, Ryan.
01:05:59Ryan, Olivia, back together for Christmas.
01:06:01We can release a joint statement.
01:06:03Let's give the people what they want.
01:06:05It's not what I want.
01:06:08It's not?
01:06:09You're a great musician, Ryan.
01:06:12But you want the whole world to love you.
01:06:13I just want to be with someone who just wants me.
01:06:16The real me.
01:06:17So we're not getting back together?
01:06:20Never.
01:06:22I really hope you find what you're looking for.
01:06:26Goodbye, Ryan.
01:06:35Room service.
01:06:39Hi.
01:06:39Eggnog, fruitcake, and gingerbread men.
01:06:42Where would you like it?
01:06:42Um, you can just, you can leave it here.
01:06:44Thanks.
01:06:52And can you just sign here?
01:06:53Yeah, of course.
01:06:54Of course.
01:07:03I just wanted to say, um, thank you.
01:07:07My kid brother, he's, uh, been having a hard time since our dad passed.
01:07:13And, well, it's, it's just been nice seeing him enjoying something again.
01:07:20You're Jack's older brother.
01:07:23That, uh, thing that you told Jack, that we can't sit in the back row of life.
01:07:28We have to keep moving forward.
01:07:30It, it made an impact.
01:07:34You've made a real impact.
01:07:36Oh, I, I mean, I don't know about this.
01:07:38Well, you, you, you have.
01:07:40Being there, even showing up.
01:07:43It's inspired them to show up for themselves.
01:07:49I'll see you at the show.
01:08:00There you are.
01:08:13I was looking for you.
01:08:26Every year I put it up for sale.
01:08:27And every year I just can't bear to see it go.
01:08:33The sound of a revving engine still brings me back to Saturday mornings as a kid.
01:08:39When I left, it wasn't my plan to never come home for Christmas.
01:08:48Oh, I know.
01:08:49It was just this, this broken faucet and everything was pouring out on me.
01:08:56I didn't know how to manage it, so I just turned it off.
01:09:02And I had to let you go.
01:09:04But you were always close to my heart.
01:09:08And if you hadn't left, then you would never have become the wonderful woman that you are today.
01:09:16And I don't love you because you're a movie star.
01:09:19I love you because you're my daughter.
01:09:24I love you too, Mom.
01:09:27You know, I have watched you in awe for years.
01:09:31Your determination, your confidence, your strength.
01:09:35But nothing has made me more proud than the Olivia that has emerged over the course of you putting together this play.
01:09:46Well, I just bailed on everyone.
01:09:50You know, they needed me to be there, and I just ran away again.
01:09:53And Casey took the stick and see their run-through, but I still didn't have time to get all the costumes that we need.
01:10:02I have a ton of decorations.
01:10:06And finding costumes shouldn't be too difficult.
01:10:09Now, I'm sure that Casey is covering for you, but we should hurry.
01:10:13Oh, Casey.
01:10:14Are you worried about the front page?
01:10:19Is it true?
01:10:21Is Rylivia back on?
01:10:23No.
01:10:24But I'm...
01:10:26How do I explain this?
01:10:28I'm just...
01:10:29I'm all out of places to run to.
01:10:32Then stop running, honey.
01:10:36You tell him what is true.
01:10:38And if the world is making up stories about you, then you go out there and you show them who you really are.
01:10:46Okay?
01:10:50Thanks.
01:11:03Stephanie.
01:11:04Olivia.
01:11:05I think I figured out a way that you can keep your job.
01:11:08Redemption.
01:11:09It's a best-selling story you can get.
01:11:11Are you giving me an exclusive?
01:11:13A front-row exclusive.
01:11:15Valley Hill Community Hall, 6 p.m.
01:11:17You'll get your story.
01:11:18And what do you get?
01:11:20My life back.
01:11:23The show will start in 10 minutes.
01:11:25Ladies and gentlemen, the show will begin in 10 minutes.
01:11:28The show's just about to start.
01:11:29Take your seat.
01:11:30Enjoy the show.
01:11:38It's a full house.
01:11:47Glad you made it.
01:11:49Your students are going to be thrilled to see you.
01:11:52Casey, I...
01:11:53You don't have to explain yourself.
01:11:57If you're happy, I'm happy.
01:12:00But it's not true.
01:12:02I saw the paper, Liv.
01:12:04And you're telling me that didn't happen.
01:12:05Okay, it's...
01:12:08It's true.
01:12:09But it wasn't real.
01:12:12Ryan ambushed me, and that picture was just a publicity stunt to sell his album.
01:12:17He staged the whole thing.
01:12:18It is over with him.
01:12:19But this...
01:12:23We know.
01:12:26This is real.
01:12:32Your dad would be so proud of you.
01:12:36Thanks, Mom.
01:12:37Hey.
01:12:39You've got to cast a pep talk.
01:12:41I'll see you after the show.
01:12:42Okay.
01:12:43Break a leg.
01:12:49I don't have a Santa hat.
01:12:54As they say in the biz.
01:12:55I can't remember my lines.
01:12:56Has anyone seen a Santa hat?
01:12:59The show must go on.
01:13:01No hat.
01:13:02No lines.
01:13:04No director.
01:13:05No problem.
01:13:06The show must go on.
01:13:09She's right.
01:13:12Hey, guys.
01:13:13How are you feeling?
01:13:14Good.
01:13:15Okay.
01:13:16You know what?
01:13:17Sometimes on stage and in life, you get set back with...
01:13:19Unexpected challenges.
01:13:21Life doesn't have a dress rehearsal.
01:13:23You go out and you give it everything you've got.
01:13:26Keep moving forward, right, Jack?
01:13:28Chris, you're Santa hat?
01:13:31Brittany, you've got this.
01:13:33Trust yourself.
01:13:34It is okay to be nervous.
01:13:36Dig deep and let it fuel you.
01:13:38These are the moments that define you as artists.
01:13:41And your acts of courage will inspire others in theirs.
01:13:45You've all worked so hard, and I'm already so proud.
01:13:48All the world's a stage, and tonight, the stage is yours.
01:13:53I'll be watching from the wings.
01:13:54Now, let's get your costumes on.
01:13:56Yes!
01:13:57Yes!
01:13:57Yes!
01:13:57T'was the night before Christmas, but didn't feel near it.
01:14:26Why can't I hear it?
01:14:30One little girl had lost her Christmas spirit.
01:14:34No mistletoe?
01:14:36No big red bow?
01:14:37If I don't find Christmas...
01:14:40There won't be a show.
01:14:41Maybe it's closer than Hillside or Brook.
01:14:58It isn't outside you.
01:14:59Just trust us.
01:15:00We've worked.
01:15:02Hold on.
01:15:03I'm getting something.
01:15:05It's very...
01:15:06It's close.
01:15:07I think my journey has come to an end.
01:15:10The spirit is here, in the warmth of a friend.
01:15:14Don't know me.
01:15:21You're dead.
01:15:23Bye.
01:15:24Our friend hadn't misplaced or forgotten the source.
01:15:53It was right there inside her.
01:15:55Friends, family.
01:15:57Of course.
01:16:02Take the hands on your left and the hands on your right.
01:16:07That spirit you're holding, that's Christmas.
01:16:10Good night.
01:16:11Good night.
01:16:14Good night.
01:16:15Good night.
01:16:21Good night.
01:16:23I'd like to welcome to the stage our director who led us with passion, inspiration, and overall unwavering dedication.
01:16:38Eagle Heights very own Olivia O'Hara.
01:16:40It was such an honor working with these courageous students, being back home for Christmas and reconnecting with my roots.
01:16:56It means more to me than you can imagine.
01:17:01Merry Christmas, everyone!
01:17:13Bravo.
01:17:14You did it.
01:17:15I think I like this directing thing.
01:17:17Hands down.
01:17:19The best Christmas Eve play ever.
01:17:20Oh, well, thanks to you.
01:17:23Cast party at the diner.
01:17:25I mean, if you're not busy, then you're invited too, Mr. Rollins.
01:17:29Well, usually I can't turn down an invitation to the diner, but I've got a flight to catch.
01:17:34Right.
01:17:34Of course.
01:17:37I don't know why.
01:17:38This was your incredible Olivia O'Hara.
01:17:48Merry Christmas.
01:17:51Merry Christmas, Casey.
01:18:04Encore!
01:18:04Encore!
01:18:05This is so amazing!
01:18:06Oh, thank you.
01:18:11Liv, beautiful.
01:18:13Your mother cried.
01:18:14Wow.
01:18:16You really pulled it off, sweetheart.
01:18:17Fantastic.
01:18:19Thank you for coming.
01:18:21We'll warm up the car.
01:18:36And here's a big one for...
01:18:53And here's a big one for...
01:19:05Oh, this one is from me.
01:19:08This is...
01:19:09This is...
01:19:23The original Captain Claus Skrull jacket I wore in all three films.
01:19:28I love it.
01:19:28Thank you so much.
01:19:30Oh.
01:19:31Oh, you know...
01:19:32Oh, I'll get it.
01:19:32I'll get it.
01:19:40Casey?
01:19:48I changed my flight.
01:19:49I don't want to spend another day, let alone Christmas, without you.
01:19:59Christmas is the time to be with the one you love.
01:20:01So here I am.
01:20:06Hoping that you feel the same way about me, too.
01:20:11Being back home made me believe in myself again, but...
01:20:15Being with you made me believe in love.
01:20:17If life is anything like the movies, then...
01:20:23You are my happy ending.
01:20:26So I guess...
01:20:27This would be the part where...
01:20:28Would you like to come in and meet your fans?
01:20:48I would love to.
01:20:50This feels like the merriest Christmas ever.
01:20:53It does now.
01:20:54Get, I don't like to.
01:21:19Church Diao.
01:21:20Các bạn của mình thôi, nhé.
01:21:21For example.
