The cast of 'Lilo & Stitch' stop by THR's suite at Comic-Con and reveal what life has been like since the incredible success of the live-action movie. Plus, they share their reaction to hearing the film crossed the billion-dollar mark.

00:37Is this your first Comic-Con?

00:39Yes.

00:42Not Tia's, but ours.

00:43I was here a few years ago, and I went shopping,

00:46and I went to go visit Chris Sanders at his booth,

00:48and it was pretty cool.

00:50I was wearing my big Stitch hat, and he goes,

00:52oh my gosh, it's Tia.

00:54I was hiding under big glasses in a big Stitch hat.

00:57I want to do that.

00:58I really want to do that with you.

00:59Hashtag Stitch meets Nani.

01:04Yeah.

01:05Maya and Sydney, for you,

01:06what has your first Comic-Con been like so far?

01:09It's been wonderful.

01:09We still have so much to see,

01:11but I think it's been really cool to just...

01:14Go shopping.

01:15Yeah, and see how big it is,

01:17and how grand and how excited everybody is,

01:19the cosplay, everything.

01:20It looks super cool.

01:22Have you seen any Stitch cosplay?

01:24No.

01:25No, we haven't.

01:26I really want to go.

01:26You've been busy.

01:27We've been all busy.

01:28Yeah, we've been busy,

01:29but I'm excited to go and see it all.

01:31And the box office has been busy with the film.

01:34It recently crossed $1 billion,

01:36became the biggest movie of the year so far,

01:38the first Hollywood movie to do that in 2025.

01:41What was your reaction?

01:42That.

01:44Specifically.

01:44I'm like, oh my God,

01:46I know a billionaire,

01:47and he's little and blue and fluffy.

01:49I didn't know how much it was,

01:51and then my mom's like,

01:53okay, you guys just hit $1 billion.

01:55You guys have been aiming for that.

01:57I'm like, yay, I'm so happy for Disney.

02:00And then she's like, you should be,

02:01and then I'm like,

02:02how much is $1 million again?

02:04How many zeros?

02:05How many zeros?

02:06A billion.

02:07Billion.

02:08Billion.

02:09And for you, Tia,

02:10what is it like to see

02:11just a whole new generation of fans

02:12embrace Stitch and love this franchise?

02:15It's really gratifying that,

02:17you know, 23 years later,

02:19that the love has lived on.

02:22And that's why we're here doing,

02:23you know, a live action.

02:25And to see these two young women here shine,

02:28I just couldn't be any happier.

02:30They're the perfect Lilo and Nani,

02:32and I'm excited to be invited as Mrs. Kekoa.

02:35how have your lives changed

02:36since the first movie came out?

02:40A lot.

02:41Being recognized in the streets,

02:43being recognized in Target,

02:45being, like, recognized everywhere.

02:47Target-specific.

02:48Yeah, it's true, actually.

02:49You know, you get way more,

02:50like, I went to, like,

02:51the activation for,

02:52I was at, um, Squid Game,

02:54and then they were coming up

02:56and taking pictures with me.

02:57I'm like, the guys are over there, man.

03:02I was at a bookstore at, um,

03:05at the Grove,

03:06and, um, Bob Marley's son

03:09was there signing books.

03:10He just made, um,

03:12a book called Pajaman.

03:14And then everyone started

03:15taking pictures with me.

03:16I'm like, sorry!

03:22I think it's been rad to see

03:24how much people

03:26have really taken towards the movie,

03:28and, again, how timeless it is.

03:29And, you know,

03:30it feels like you're celebrating

03:31it all together

03:32every single time

03:34someone comes up

03:34or whatever,

03:35and I think being able

03:36to come back home,

03:37we filmed it at home,

03:38we get to come back home,

03:39and we get to celebrate it

03:40as a win.

03:41Um, I think that's been

03:43really rad.

03:44the coolest change

03:45thus far,

03:46is how much, um,

03:47love I have for,

03:49you know,

03:49I think the success

03:50of just Hawaii

03:51coming up, too,

03:52in that way.
