00:00Kabungan Rakyat Sabah Chairman Haijiji Noor has been sworn in for a second term as Sabah Chief Minister,
00:06officially bringing the 17th state election to a close.
00:10Haijiji took his oath of office before Sabah Governor Musa Aman at Istana Sri Kinabalu in Kota Kinabalu at 3.05 a.m.
00:18JRS has officially won 29 seats short of the 37 needed for a simple majority in the 73-member State Assembly.
00:25However, Haijiji is said to have the backing of five independent candidates, three Assemblymen from UPCO and one from Pakistan Harapan, giving him a two-seat majority so far.
00:35He may have also secured the support of Parti Solidarity Tanah Aikou's two Assemblymen and RUM from Parti Kusajatra undemocratic masyarakat.
00:43After JRS, the next biggest party is Warisan with 25 seats, while Barca Nacional has six.
00:48BN Chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamdi said earlier that the coalition was willing to work with like-minded parties to form the state government.
