Mexico: Fifth edition of original Mexican textile art encounter takes place at national museum of anthropology

In Mexico, the fifth edition of Original Mexican Textile Art Encounter takes place hosted by the National Museum of Anthropology. The Los Pinos Cultural Complex is hosting an event that brings together over 400 artisans who celebrate and defend their textile heritage. This event, which will run until November 30, displays representative pieces from 17 states and reflects the cultural diversity of the country through rebozos, huipiles, and other textiles made using ancestral techniques. In addition, community workshops and spaces are offered for artisans to showcase their work, consolidating the event as a key element in the protection of the cultural rights of indigenous and African-Mexican peoples.
