With 14 monumental rugs made of sawdust, sand, and lots of color, this exhibition was held in the town of San Pedro Jalos-toc in Ecatepec. The striking designs are a showcase of the artists' feelings and their identity as Mexicans. Butterflies, catrinas, and flowers are some of the motifs that decorate the streets of the city. The celebration included music and workshops so that people could learn how to make their own rugs. A project that keeps the nation's traditional knowledge alive and pays tribute to the artisans who have been preserving this art for over 4 decades.
