00:00George Clooney has contacted the White House to defend his wife, Amal Clooney,
00:04who's been helping bring a war crimes case against Israeli leaders.
00:08According to a new report from the Washington Post, the actor reached out after President
00:13Joe Biden criticized the International Criminal Court's effort to issue arrest warrants against
00:18top Israeli and Hamas leaders with the help of Amal Clooney. The human rights lawyer was part
00:23of a group of UK-based legal advisors who helped ICC prosecutor Karim Khan request arrest warrants
00:29for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his Minister of Defense, and three Hamas leaders
00:35over suspected war crimes committed as part of Israel's war on Gaza following the October 7th
