00:00So I'm curious from you, how did this opportunity come about?
00:03And was there any hesitation of joining reality television and putting your life out there
00:08for the world?
00:09Well, it came about just because I think, you know, I was around social circles that
00:12were very much like in that area and, and, and the, sorry, it came about because I post
00:20everything on social media and it kind of like with Instagram and everything, it was
00:25like the next step for me.
00:26And there was hesitation a little bit because it's for the first time in my life, I didn't
00:29have control and what I was putting out there, but I also am someone that's so transparent
00:34and I thought that it was a good way to kind of be accountable for, for what I wanted to
00:39share with the world this, this past year and the season.
00:43Yeah.
00:43I think with the show, a lot of people obviously will draw similarities to Housewives because
00:47it's on Bravo.
00:48It's about a group of women.
00:49What would you say are the differences between Real Girlfriends in Paris and Real Housewives
00:53of whatever city and what makes the show stand out on its own?
00:57Well, first of all, we're a lot younger.
00:59So I think we're going through very different things than, than Real Housewives are.
01:03I also think that aspects of our lives that, you know, they don't show on Real Housewives
01:07that they'll, they'll show on the show.
01:09And we're genuinely like very supportive of each other.
01:12Of course, like there's bickering, like every friend group, there's, there's fights and there's
01:15ups and there's downs, but it's not the level of, of, of, uh, Real Housewives, I would
01:21say.
01:22Sure.
01:23It's like January, but it's a little more wholesome.
01:25No table flipping, no cake throwing.
01:29Yeah.
01:30Wholesome nonetheless.
01:32Wholesome with like a few, maybe less wholesome moments, but yeah.
01:35Sure.
01:36Overall wholesome.
01:37Yeah.
01:38So what can we fans expect kind of from your individual storyline?
01:41I watched the first episode and I saw, we kind of get a glimpse of each of the girls
01:44as individuals.
01:45What can we see from this season moving forward from you?
01:48Um, I think you see, it's, it's a very bumpy road for me this season.
01:53I was very vulnerable, I think with myself and, and my situation with my dad and what
02:00I wanted to face.
02:01So you see me kind of face my parents for the first time because they're living in Paris
02:05and I was running away from it for a year, for years.
02:08You see me dealing with my parents' divorce in delayed time.
02:12Um, so my relationship with my brothers, and then you see me trying to figure out what
02:16I want to do next with my life.
02:17Like I know I'm creative and I'm trying to figure that out.
02:19And there's a lot of trial and error.
02:21And then you see me struggling dating.
02:23It's, it's really, it's like the full, full cake.
02:26Yeah.
02:27What would you say is just like the most difficult aspect of living in Paris as a young woman
02:32and just adjusting to the world that Paris is?
02:36Uh, I don't think there's anything.
02:38For me, I'm so lucky because my family lives here.
02:42And I, I, I would say the hardest part of living anywhere that is not where you're from
02:47is not having your family, not having people to go to that feel like family.
02:52I don't have that problem in Paris.
02:55I had that everywhere else I lived.
02:57Um, so I, I, I would say that would be the biggest one hypothetically, but it's not the
03:01case for me.
03:02Yeah.
03:03What's your favorite thing about living in Paris that we don't get here in the States
03:06or just like something about Paris that you're like, this is truly why I love being here
03:10and here all night.
03:11There's two things that I can never get over with Paris.
03:14It's the way the sun hits buildings at sun, like when the sun sets, it's like, it's just
03:19like, I just don't understand how it happens, but the color of the buildings and the reflection,
03:22it's just insane.
03:23And you just feel like you're in a movie.
03:24And then the fact that like cafes and bistros, just the mentality of it.
03:29Anytime you sit there with your cigarette and your glass of wine, no one judge you for
03:32drinking at noon, 8am, 6pm, 5pm, whatever.
03:36It's very normalized to have like a very big lunch, like during corporate hours and like
03:41have a glass of wine, little things like that.
03:43There's just, you walk out and people watch and it's just so charming.
03:46And like, that doesn't exist anywhere else.
03:49Yeah, I like what you said about the midday, because I feel like that's not a thing in
03:52the US, especially East Coast, New Jersey, New York.
03:55It's work, work, work.
03:56And I feel like the midday, taking time for yourself, socializing, eating, drinking, that's
04:00something that I feel like definitely plays out way more in Europe than in the States.
04:03A thousand percent, yeah.
04:05Filming with the other girls, would you say that dynamics kind of shifted at all, at least
04:09for you personally, about who you were close with going into the show and who you were
04:12closer with maybe as the show played out and you were filming?
04:15Um, no, I think the dynamics stayed pretty much the same with me.
04:21Obviously, there's like some girls that I got closer to and less close throughout the
04:26season, but my closest friend I knew prior to filming and everything and this is Victoria
04:35and then she's still my day one, so.
04:37Yeah, would you say that it's kind of pairs between the six of you or do you feel like
04:41it's more complex, the dynamics between the group?
04:44I, I think it's complex.
04:46I think we're all, we're, we all love each other and get along really well, but you'll
04:50see as the season progresses, obviously, you know, how friendships go and groups go or
04:54six girls are all going to be equally like best friends.
04:58Of course.
04:58What was your family's reaction to being on the show?
05:01Because obviously they're in Paris.
05:02So what did they think about you joining this and if they were going to be involved or
05:06didn't want to be involved?
05:07Um, listen, I, my mom, I'll be honest.
05:10My mom was not, she was not super excited at first, but, uh, in the end, like they supported
05:16me in my decision and like, it was my story to tell and they all were involved as much
05:22as they felt comfortable too, but you'll see them this season for sure.
05:25Everyone.
05:25Um, yeah, I asked this to, um, Emily and Anya earlier, and I'm curious what your answer
05:30is about, what do you think is the biggest misconception about Paris and being a young
05:35woman living in Paris?
05:36What do you think that people get wrong about that?
05:38I think they get wrong that it's, I think they probably, I think two things that, that
05:44it's, I think they think it's harder than it, than it looks to move somewhere.
05:48Like you're not knowing necessarily the language or the place.
05:51I think it's a lot easier to adapt to Paris than you would think.
05:54Do you have, just living in Paris now for these years, do you have an itch to go elsewhere
05:58or do you feel like so comfortable in Paris?
06:00This is where you want to be here on out.
06:03This, this is the first time in my life, um, where I'm very excited to plant my roots.
06:07I will always be between the U S and Paris, but I'm going to be, I'm for sure going to
06:12be based in Paris for the next couple of years and, um, and then be between Paris and New
06:18York as I, as I do.
06:20What do you think is something that is going to surprise viewers when we watch the show,
06:24especially people that don't know a lot about Paris and what goes on there with young people
06:28living there?
06:30I think, um, let's see, surprise viewers.
06:33I think that they'll be surprised by things that, certain things that we're doing in Paris.
06:40And so I think that we're able to the events and the party, like, I think they don't realize
06:44that all of these are, are, are options in Paris and that there is the ability to, to
06:50get ranch sauce or different things that you might think is completely like impossible,
06:54um, exists in Paris.
06:56And you'll see, to see that throughout the season.
06:59Yeah.
06:59And what can you give an update about your dating life?
07:01How's that going?
07:02How is it trying to date in Paris?
07:04Is it easier?
07:05Is it more difficult?
07:06What's going on with that?
07:08As you probably saw from the first episode, I have a bumpy road with that.
07:13Um, I don't want to spoil it like fingers crossed.
07:16I'm going to get the cobwebs out, but this year specifically was, was bumpy for me for
07:22sure.
07:22Yeah.
07:23I love that scene.
07:24I don't think anything was not bumpy for me this year.
07:26Yeah.
07:26I feel like it's been a bumpy fat past few years for everybody.
07:29In fairness, I loved that scene when you guys were all having dinner at the end of the
07:32episode and really opening up and we see Victoria open up about, um, her and her being bisexual.
07:37What was your reaction to what she had to say and being so open at the dinner?
07:42What was my reaction?
07:43Yeah.
07:43I knew, I knew, um,
07:45You guys are friends.
07:47You know, while, while back, I say that.
07:49Um, but I was really proud of her and I, and I even say that in the confessional where
07:54I, I didn't realize the way that it was on her chest until she started telling the other
07:58girls.
07:59Um, and that it was something that was like a lot, you know, I took it, I was raised in
08:03the West village in New York.
08:04Like, yeah, I think I was, I'm not someone that takes these things at all.
08:09Like, it's like, Oh, you're a straight, you're a gay, you're a bad.
08:11It's like all this.
08:12Really?
08:13New York is so diverse.
08:15Yeah.
08:15And I'm really so used to like, I just wouldn't even double think it like, cool.
08:19Amazing.
08:19Um, but for her, you know, and her upbringing, where she came from is something that I did
08:24not go through.
08:25And so I understand now why it's so much more emotional and there's so many more layers
08:30to it and all of that.
08:32Yeah.
08:33And then my last question for you today is what would you say was the biggest lesson
08:36that you learned filming the show and being a part of this experience?
08:41Um, the biggest lesson I learned.
08:45Um, probably I'm going to say to be on time more.
08:52Yeah.
08:52You, the girls put you in check with that.
08:55Yeah.
08:56A little bit.
08:57I love it.
08:58Cause well, I feel like Paris, it's probably okay to be late by a planner.
09:02Yeah.
09:03All right.
09:03Well, fair enough.
09:04Well, thank you so much for taking the time.
09:05I'm so excited to watch the rest of the season and see all you girls going on this super
09:09exciting journey.
09:10It looks like.
09:11Thank you so much.
09:12Thanks.
09:13It was a great time.
