00:07Melvin will join Savannah Guthrie at the Today anchor desk in January, following Kotb's exit.
00:12Kotb's final show will be Friday, January 10th, while Melvin will assume his new role on Monday,
00:17January 13th. He will also continue to co-host the third hour of the program.

00:59Kotb, who announced her plan to leave the NBC morning show back in September, shared these words of encouragement with Melvin.
