A China-born woman involved with the Taiwan People's Party has been detained for allegedly violating the Anti-Infiltration Act. Prosecutors say she accepted money from China to support political campaigns at Beijing's request, including former TPP Chair Ko Wen-je's bid for president in 2024 and former independent Huang Shan-shan's bid for Taipei mayor in 2022.
