Keanu Reeves is joining the 'Sonic the Hedgehog' franchise. Multiple sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the 'John Wick' star will voice the popular character Shadow in 'Sonic the Hedgehog 3.' This news comes after Paramount debuted the first footage of 'Sonic 3' at CinemaCon last week.

00:22but gets his groove back thanks to creating Shadow the Hedgehog,

00:25a character first introduced in the video games in 2001.

00:27The character is in many ways the anti-Sonic, dark and edgy while mirroring the hero's powers.

00:34Paramount's Sonic franchise kicked off in 2020 with the film Sonic the Hedgehog.

00:38The movie overperformed with $319 million globally,

00:41becoming a breakout hit in the video game space.
