00:00And we continue with the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines topic because elections are
00:15underway and we go live with Belen de los Santos in Kingston with more information about this day.
00:23Hello, Belen. How are you? What else can you tell us in this electoral journey in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines?
00:33Hello, Ana. Exactly. We're actually a few kilometers away from Kingston, but we're heading there.
00:39We are going slowly, constituency by constituency, in order to get to that capital city where the election results will take place
00:51and will be announced later tonight. For now, the election day is underway. It has been so since 7 a.m. in the morning.
00:59It continues to do so. Right behind me, we are actually in West St. George.
01:04And in West St. George, you have the secondary school that is right behind me.
01:09The boating is underway. At this moment, we were just inside and the lines were full in both boating stations.
01:17Let's recall that there are 200 boating centers across the country.
01:23And actually, one interesting fact about this circumscription that we're in right now is that it's the one of the few,
01:32actually one of the two, that has one independent candidate.
01:36So, three candidates for those representation at the parliament.
01:41One for the ULP, of course, the Unity Labour Party, that is Curtis King, and also for the New Democratic Party, it's Cassandra Cupid.
01:51But we also have an independent participant as well.
01:55We were saying that for the great majority, this was a bipartisan election, but there are exceptions, and West St. George is one of them.
02:04However, in this election, let's recall that whoever wins the circumscription will win that representative,
02:12and that will be a defining moment when we see the results.
02:16As we were saying, we are heading towards Kingston.
02:20We are getting closer to the capital, and we will be looking to see what are the results after the voting count when the polling stations close.
02:29Let's recall the polling stations will close approximately at 5, but they may be extended, the idea.
02:35And the goal is that everyone who is in line will be able to vote, and we've been seeing people that continue to come in
02:42because everyone wants to exercise that right to vote.
02:45Let's recall that this is an election that is truly defined vote by vote.
02:50Many of the sectors have been defined by double-digit votes.
02:54That means 20 votes, 40 votes, 50 votes, even one single vote can change the result
03:00and can change the way that that parliament, that single camera is composed, and therefore the ending results.
03:08So everyone is placing and paying very close attention,
03:12and we will continue to bring you a little bit of what is happening here in the Caribbean.
03:17There's a full Caribbean sun underway.
03:19Now we've been blessed by a couple of clouds, but we continue to tour the day,
03:24and we're heading towards the capital, so stay tuned, because I'll have more, Anna.
03:28Well...
