00:22Mr. John, appointed King's Council in 2014, brings decades of legal and political experience to the nation's highest constitutional role.
00:33Out of office, I, Stanley Kendrick-John, do swear that I will well and truly serve the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the office of Governor-General.

00:53Mr. John served as political leader of the St. Vincent Labour Party from 1992 to 1994, and represented East St. George in Parliament from 1998 to 2001.
01:06In his inaugural address, he pointed to a growing national fatigue with political rivalries, and signaled a desire for unity and healing.
