00:00Only the Disqaia couple and DPWH officials are the real crooks in the flood control project conspiracy

00:06that has defrauded government and the public of hundreds of billions.

00:11And not the lawmakers tagged by resource persons who vehemently deny their roles in the conspiracy,

00:17like yesterday's House Representatives from Quezon City and Caloocan,

00:21and two more from today who say they have nothing to hide but all testify before the ICI and executive sessions.

00:34Another pair of lawmakers tagged in anomalous flood control projects

00:39appeared before the Independent Commission for Infrastructure or ICI earlier today.

00:45They are Quezon City 6th District Representative Marivy Coppilar

00:49and Quezon City 5th District Representative Patrick Michael Vargas.

00:53The two are among those named by contractor couple Sarah and Curly Disqaia,

00:58who allegedly received kickbacks from flood control projects.

01:03But since their requests for executive session were granted,

01:06the hearings were conducted in a closed-door setup and not live-streamed.

01:11Congressman Vargas also declined to answer questions from the media.

01:15But in a release statement,

01:17The lawmaker said he gave the ICI documents proving that the Disqaia's have no projects in his district.

01:25He added he also shared relevant information that will help in the investigation of the commission.

01:31The ICI, meanwhile, declined to provide further details regarding the executive sessions.

01:38I cannot share with you the details because these were all in executive sessions.

01:43But basically, this has something to do with our ongoing investigation on the flood control projects,

01:49kung paano ito na-fund, how the budget process is being conducted.

01:54For this week, a total of six congressmen implicated by the Disqaia's faced the ICI.

02:00Moreover, all six also testified via executive session.

02:05As of today, the ICI still has no definite timeline as to when the live-streaming of their hearings will begin,

02:12since almost all the invited resource persons opted for executive session.
