Police have identified a viral video allegedly showing a jet ski mishap during a movie shoot along the Sungai Melaka, with Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit saying that preliminary checks confirmed the incident occurred during an official film production on Nov 26.

00:21He said the stuntman involved had been reported to be safe and in a stable condition.
00:25The Malacca River and Beach Development Corporation, or PPSPM, said the scenes were part of the professionally supervised film production.
00:34In a statement, PPSPM said checks with the production team revealed that the scene had been carefully planned and executed by professional actors and crew who followed the required safety procedures.
00:46The filming was supposed to take place from Wednesday to Friday, with monitoring from local authorities and relevant agencies to ensure full compliance with regulations.
00:57PPSPM said that to ensure maximum safety, medical teams and health personnel, along with an ambulance, were stationed on site throughout the filming in the event of any injuries or emergencies.
01:09PPSPM added that it remains committed to ensuring all filming activities along the Malacca River adhere to strict safety standards to safeguard the heritage tourism site's image, sustainability and public safety.
