Lady Gaga is set to host SNL for the first time.

00:00Lady Gaga is headed to Saturday Night Live as a host, but the question is, can she pull it off?
00:08Hi everyone, I'm Brian Corsetti for ENTV, and TVLine.com has the exclusive details.
00:14Lady Gaga kicked off her post-hip injury comeback at last month's MTV Video Music Awards
00:19with the debut of her new song, Applause.
00:22Now, she's gearing up to hear the live applause of the Saturday Night Live audience for the third time now,
00:35but it will be her first ever as the host.
00:38According to TVLine.com, the pop star will follow in Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars' footsteps
00:43by pulling double duty as host and musical guest in the NBC show's upcoming season.
00:49Gaga previously appeared as a musical guest in 2009 and 2011,
00:54but fans got a taste of her comedic chops when she joined in on a few of the sketches.
00:59What kind of name is Lady Gaga? It sounds like baby food.
01:02The kind that's never one on the Billboard side!
01:05No confirmation on exactly when the Gaga episode will air,
01:09but seeing as her new album Art Pop drops in November,
01:13we're assuming it's going to be sometime around then.
01:15Mother Monster will also be making her big-screen acting debut
01:19in this year's Machete Kills, hitting theaters in October.
