00:00In one word, describe your year, like personally.
00:07One word.
00:08I love this.
00:09Yeah, you can give a little synopsis as to why later, but I had ChatGPT help me out, I ain't gonna lie.
00:16I'm putting my, I had a word picked, but I am putting it into ChatGPT now to see if they come up with a better one.
00:22Yeah, so my ChatGPT word is actually, it was on, it was on.
00:29Did you pick one yourself before you put it into ChatGPT?
00:31Yeah, like I had, like I had kind of like, I didn't have a word, but I had like a theme.
00:39Okay.
00:40And it's on brand with the theme.
00:42Okay.
00:42So what I did was I keep like, I do like a lot of, it's like, I don't know, I guess you could say journaling.
00:50I don't sit there and write sentences for the most part.
00:53It's okay to say journaling.
00:54I journal, yeah, I journal.
00:55But I journal daily and then I also do this thing yearly where I break down my year in quarters.
01:03So every three months I'm writing down, I call them victories and opportunities, basically like highlights and lowlights.
01:10Right.
01:10From three months because like nothing's always straight up home runs.
01:12Yeah.
01:13So I literally went back and I was looking through my yearly list.
01:16It's a good thing to do that because you're like, oh crap, that happened?
01:19Right.
01:19You forget about things.
01:20Yeah.
01:20Sometimes you think you're like, you're going through shit and then you go back and go like, oh wow.
01:23Okay.
01:24You know, that wasn't that bad because sometimes people just go, my year was shitty.
01:27And it's like, really?
01:28From January 1st until now, it's been nothing but shit.
01:32You haven't had any, that's crazy.
01:35But anyway, so I put in all highlights, lowlights and stuff.
01:38And I mean, do you want me to go first?
01:40Sure.
01:41Yeah.
01:41Sounds like you're excited to go first.
01:43I am excited.
01:44Yeah.
01:44It came up with the word resilient.
01:47That's a good one.
01:49Oh, hell is that right?
01:51No, go ahead.
01:52We'll talk after.
01:53Okay.
01:53Because I mean, and I put in some of the things I put in that happened, you know, we started
01:58off the new year in California at Disneyland.
02:02You know, I put in how my wife ran for select board, lost.
02:06I put in how our house was broken into earlier this year, which sucked.
02:13I put in, but then highlights.
02:15My wife started as a partner this year, officially at her law firm.
02:18My daughter graduated high school this year.
02:21She started at Boston College.
02:23Jaxie started playing hockey and freaking loves it.
02:26He turned me into a rink rat dad.
02:28But then, you know, I also put in how, you know, our, our, my mentor, he was our program
02:33director here, Cadillac, got let go.
02:36You know, I put in some other personal stuff, highs and lows, visiting Yellowstone, something
02:40I've always wanted to do.
02:41And it came up with the word resilient.
02:43And then it gave me a little bit, here's why it fits so well.
02:45And it, you know, it said, you know, you absorb hits, you adapted, you push through, you still
02:50found bright moments, resilient captures the whole arc, tough, meaningful, and forward
02:56moving.
02:56That's the, that was a theme that the theme is like, was kind of a keep moving forward.
03:00Which is like your theme in life.
03:02Oh my God.
03:02That's my theme.
03:03But, and I couldn't, I just couldn't think of like how to, you know, shrink that down to
03:07one word.
03:08Um, so anyway, my word of the year for 2025 resilient, I'll even add in, you know, it
03:16sucked losing a couple of like, like a lot of times celebrities die and I'm like, oh,
03:20that kind of sucks.
03:21This year I was like, yo man, Theo from the, the Cosby show and the way he died sucked.
03:28And I, listen, I know some people feel a certain way about the dude, but Hulk Hogan was my childhood,
03:31man.
03:32The dude wanted me, wanted to, made me want to be like a guy who fights in his underwear
03:39and tells the eyes that are going to beat them up at WrestleMania brother.
03:45But anyway, yeah.
03:46So anyway, resilient, that's my word.
03:47Okay.
03:48I'll go next because I have to say when I put, I already had a word for myself, but then
03:53when you were putting it in chat GPT, I'm like, let me try that and see what it comes
03:57out with and the word that it came out with was resilient, the exact same word.
04:03So I, um, my word, I, I first, let me just describe what I think my year was my year would
04:11felt like extreme highs and extreme lows.
04:15And I will say like, you know, there were celebrity deaths.
04:20There were, you know, I had like a personal, uh, death in my family.
04:24I mean, there was just a lot of pain and grief there.
04:29I mean, I, I know we don't talk politics, but politics, like, I swear, it just felt like
04:36it almost took me out this year.
04:37Like it's just been horrible witnessing the things that have been going on locally, nationally
04:43and worldwide.
04:44And as someone who I consider myself like an empath and I feel a lot, it has just been
04:52horrible, horrible this year in that regard.
04:56But on the other hand, I also got to meet one of the members of BTS.
05:02I went to four concerts.
05:04I've like really developed, like my circle is like unbreakable.
05:11Like I have an incredible circle of friends and family and I just feel really, really lucky
05:18to have the people around me that I do.
05:21And it's just like, there has been a lot of stress at home.
05:25Like, you know, the baby's getting bigger and she's just like running the house, which
05:30is a lot.
05:30But, but also it's just like a joy to watch her finally move and like to walk and to,
05:37you know, start to speak.
05:40And it's just, you know, been very, very joyful.
05:43So I will say it's been like ups and really bad downs.
05:48But at the end of the day, I feel like I have won.
05:53So my word of the year is triumphant.
05:56Oh, that's good.
05:57And that was one of the words that ChatGPT gave me.
06:00Nice.
06:01I like it.
06:02Melissa?
06:03Um, I'm actually getting emotional.
06:06My year wasn't great.
06:09Sorry.
06:11It's all right.
06:14Um, it just wasn't great.
06:18I'm looking back and I had to put my cat down.
06:20My cat was, that was my, my baby.
06:23Um, I had to move.
06:26That was probably my worst.
06:27I didn't want to move.
06:29I left my apartment and I'm just not happy.
06:34Um, that's probably the biggest thing.
06:36I, I, I mean, God, I didn't, I, sorry.
06:41I didn't realize this was going to come out, but I'm just not happy in my apartment.
06:46I'm just not.
06:47Um, I really loved my old apartment.
06:51I, um, for people that were wondering, I had to move because the, they sold my building
06:56and the new landlord came in and raised my rent significantly.
06:59So I couldn't afford it.
07:00So I had to move and I just don't like where I'm living.
07:03I'm not.
07:04And, um, you know, eventually I'll, I'll, I'll leave, but I just can't right now.
07:09Um, I did get a new cat, my, who I love and, you know, initially I was thinking about the
07:15year and I, I was saying, oh, my word was going to be health because I have definitely
07:19taken control of my health.
07:21I've lost 50 pounds this year and, um, I'm very proud of that.
07:26Um, so that's something positive.
07:28I started a new podcast.
07:29Um, I've had some financial hardships.
07:32Um, I've made new friends this year and then I turned 50, I turned 50 years old this year.
07:38So that was like a big milestone.
07:39That's like, that's a big deal.
07:41Yeah.
07:42Like, I know a lot of times we want to think that that's, you know, a negative, but like,
07:47think about the people who did not make it to 50.
07:50Right.
07:51You made it.
07:52Yeah.
07:53I'm crawling over the finish line.
07:56The finish line?
07:57What do you mean?
07:58Maybe not the finish line.
07:59Can I?
08:00I mean, all right, maybe not the finish line, but.
08:02Oh, boy.
08:04You're okay.
08:05I was going to say to you, it's funny because I, I, I was like, if you were going to,
08:09I thought you were going to be like, I can't think of anything positive.
08:11I was going to be like, Hey, listen, you got a new cat.
08:14Yep.
08:15You started your podcast and you're doing very well with that.
08:18And.
08:20You, you're taking charge of your health.
08:22Yeah.
08:22Which hopefully he's going to push that finish line a little bit further down.
08:26You ever see the video.
08:27She sees it.
08:28Yeah.
08:28Yeah.
08:29You ever see the video of the lady, like they're doing a triathlon and also like her body literally
08:33gives out on her and she's doing one of these towards the end.
08:37That's all I pictured when you said.
08:38Shut up.
08:39I hate you.
08:40But anyways, if we're looking at words, cause I, I, I think chat GPT is kind of like spitting
08:45out the same cause I got resilient.
08:47Number one, I got triumph.
08:48It's on it too, but, um, transformative, evolving and rebuilding.
08:53Rebuilding.
08:54It's also on it.
08:55Yeah.
08:55Rebuilding.
08:55Can I pick yours?
08:57Rebuilding.
08:58Yes.
08:59Yeah.
08:59Yeah.
08:59Okay.
09:00But yeah, sorry.
09:01I didn't mean to.
09:02Or evolving.
09:03I like evolving too.
09:04Cause evolving is more of like taking what you have and like, you know, working with what
09:12you have and moving and just, as Romero says, keep moving forward.
09:16Right.
09:16Yeah.
09:17Like a giraffe growing a long neck.
09:20Great.
09:21Now I'm a giraffe.
09:23Like I said, better to be a giraffe than an elephant.
09:25So thanks.
09:26Girl.
09:29Anyways, Leroy.
09:31Oh man.
09:33The word I came up with is rejuvenated.
09:37Yeah.
09:38Sometimes I know for me, I don't know about anybody else, but for me,
09:42I didn't realize I was walking around with a lot of dead weight, dead energy trying to
09:47attach to me.
09:48But this year it's just been rejuvenating.
09:51It's been like a healthy, fresh start.
09:54Obviously got engaged.
09:55Got married.
09:57Got married.
09:58You know, um, you know, watching my kids grow up and you know, they're really, really,
10:05it just feels like a fresh start.
10:06I feel like I'm more connected to who I used to be, where I spent a lot of years, not like
10:13just lost.
10:15And so I, I, I feel rejuvenated.
10:17And even in the downs and there have been some challenges, it seems as though this year,
10:22every challenge has been like holding up a mirror to me and challenging me to step out
10:27of my comfort zone even more.
10:30So, um, I'm being pushed.
10:32I feel rejuvenated.
10:34I feel happy, but yeah, the word is rejuvenated.
10:37That's good.
10:38We all have such good words.
10:40I'm proud of us.
10:43I like it.
10:44Hey, play that game at home.
