00:20While the film is just in the initial stages, we know it will be full of humor, heart, and adventure, and we can't wait to share more soon.
00:28The sequel will bring back members of the creative team from the original film, including director Lee Unkrich and co-director Adrian Molina.
00:36Coco, which was released in 2017, follows a 12-year-old boy who dreams of becoming a musician and is accidentally transported to the land of the dead.
00:44While there, he seeks out his great-great-grandfather, a deceased musician, to help him convince their family to allow him to play music.
00:50Coco won two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for Remember Me.
01:04The film also won a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture Animated, a BAFTA for Best Animated Film, and Critics' Choice Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Song.
01:13Disney is also planning a Coco ride-through attraction, which is slated to come to Disney California Adventure.
