00:00yes the steamy scenes are are in there they're teased you know a little bit yeah they do a good
00:04job of that don't they just like slipping in like don't worry we've got your we've got your
00:08back covered yeah and that scene is excellent i will add i've watched it with you both yeah
00:13that wasn't weird at all in the same room never doing that again yeah
00:17hi we are the cast of outlander blood of my blood and we are talking to the hollywood reporter
00:29at comic-con did you do a deep dive into the history of the outlander world before stepping
00:34into these roles or were you already fans i don't think any of us had seen it beforehand oh maybe
00:40you had a little bit i had seen it um because i was in i was gonna screen test for brianna back in
00:47the day but i had a clash with another job so i had i had seen it and then i revisited it we watched
00:51the entire thing we're kind of we're kind of nerds about it yeah yeah i had watched a little bit before
00:58but then i stopped watching it just after i got cast um just so i didn't pick up anything and uh
01:04yeah once i kind of found my character i uh got right back into it and yeah now we're like just
01:09two huge outlander narratives yeah inadvertently can't wait for season eight coming soon what was
01:16it like doing a panel yesterday and seeing just how excited outlander fans are for the show it was
01:20brilliant wasn't it it was so much fun i think it was so nice because often when you film something
01:24it feels like you're in a bit of a bubble and you don't really get to meet the fans a lot of the
01:27time so it was so nice to actually like be on that stage and like be able to see out into the audience
01:32and everyone was just so lovely it was such a nice atmosphere and like with the signing afterwards as
01:37well it was just the most welcoming thing it was like the first time because up until this point
01:42everything's been on the internet and it's not really you know been real so you see all these
01:46comments from people who are really enthusiastic but they're just names on instagram right
01:50and then you actually get to see these people behind that and yeah i think for me personally
01:56that made it really real and it was very very special and we got to watch outlander do the panel
02:01first so we saw them doing it on the screen and that was really special then follow after that and
02:06they came out and gave us all a hug and like go for it so it's a nice kind of passing on baton
02:11re-transition wasn't it yeah it was nice what's it like filming in these just beautiful locations
02:16and how do you feel like it affects your performance oh man you kind of lean into the
02:21elements i think that's sort of part of the joy of it you're out in these beautiful landscapes and
02:26you're well i'm my character's normally in some kind of precarious situation and you kind of
02:30you can really lean into that and the moody atmosphere and the rain and the mountains it's
02:37really quite easy to i think yeah no i'm just going to echo echo that you know sometimes when
02:42yeah you're going through these really really tough things and then when it's pouring and it's
02:45absolutely freezing you're like well i can either hate this or i can use it and it's obviously much
02:50better to to use it did you feel any pressure stepping into the outlander world or were you
02:55just excited i guess i don't know if pressure is the right word it definitely felt a little bit
02:59daunting i guess because outlander is so hugely successful it felt like we had kind of big boots
03:05to fill but like at the same time and i think overwhelmingly the support of the fan base is just such
03:11a joy and a privilege and it's so rare to step into something that has such a huge and enthusiastic
03:17pre-existing base um so i think we all feel really lucky and really supported by them what
03:23should outlander fans be most excited to see in this show i think original outlander fans will
03:27really love seeing the younger versions of the characters they've you know grown to love um because
03:33it's the journey of or it's a story i should say of how these characters got to that point you
03:38know um and they're not the same people you know they'll see them like oh that's like young murta
03:42or young doogle young column um but they're completely different to the characters they
03:46know and i think they'll really really enjoy seeing that journey they go on to become um the ones they
03:52know it's also i think this series explores the political landscape of the clans in a really lovely
03:59way i mean even i can't really spoil it but even my character in some way there's a sort of i don't
04:04know you get a real insight into that and the different families and i think that's pretty
04:09special because it is such an ensemble of a cast as well can fans expect more steamy scenes in this
04:15show i mean it's outlander it wouldn't really be outlander without it yes but i think yeah it's very
04:23romantic and i think those scenes are important and they drive the story and they they drive the
04:30relationship i think they come often at really pivotal moments in these characters relationships
04:34um so yes yes it's the short answer even from the trailer it's like yes the steamy scenes are
04:43are in there they're teased you know a little bit yeah they do a good job of that don't they just like
04:47slipping in like don't worry we've got your we've got your back covered yeah and that scene is
04:51excellent i will add i've watched it with you both yeah that wasn't weird at all in the same room
04:57never doing that again yeah i want to do a quick outlander inspired round of this or that first one
05:03kilt or tweed jacket both are appealing options but i i like a kilt you can't be a kilt yeah
05:10kilt kilt kilt kilt and this is for yourself for a romantic getaway scotland or england scotland
05:17scotland we have to say scotland really don't we we do i'm like sweaty yeah yeah tea or whiskey
05:25whiskey whiskey oh tea i'm gonna say tea i don't love whiskey i wish i did sorry and if you had to
05:32pick one from outlander claire or jamie oh you can't ask is that i've got to go for claire she's
05:38my child i gotta go for my son yeah jamie oh that's not fair it's one each one each
05:44this is no pressure
05:47oh no you can say both can i can i say claire
05:53i've got to say jamie i've got to he's our son
05:59now i want to do some fun comic con popcorn questions from our crypto popcorn bucket so
06:08each of you grab one oh just oh would you want me to take this okay cool oh nice if you could have
06:13one superpower what would it be and why this is a really good one because i actually had this
06:18conversation with one of our eps maril davis yesterday um i would love to be able to remember
06:26every single person's name that i ever meet how practical would that be come on wouldn't you
06:31rather be invisible or something yeah but then like i don't know i'm talking practicality like
06:36how often how often are you going to be invisible i mean like it would be cool to do but like how
06:40would flying yeah that would also be cool but then i like to think of the drawbacks like if you're
06:44flying does that mean you have like super eyes as well because they get like flies and wind in your
06:47eyes so that's that's sexy yeah
06:51it's a very kind superpower that you want to remember everybody
06:56oh exactly yeah which is practical isn't it yeah what's your favorite animated movie
