00:11has a 10-episode commitment from the premium cable outlet.

00:16The show starring Emmy winners Baranski and Nixon
00:18begins in 1882 and is set in New York City.
00:21In the new series, The Good Fight star Baranski
00:23will play Agnes, a proud and stubborn aristocrat,
00:26who will never accept the world has changed
00:28and old values are being replaced by new ones.
00:30While former Sex and the City star Nixon
00:32will play her sister, Ada, another victim of the Old South.
00:35Meanwhile, Peet plays Bertha Russell,
00:37who comes from a middle-class background
00:38and backed her instincts when she set out to marry George,
00:41the son of a merchant family
00:43who has turned out to be a financial genius.
00:45And Spector will portray her husband, George Russell,
00:47a classic robber baron of his time.
00:49The Gilded Age is part of an HBO slate
00:51that also includes dramas Euphoria, Secession, Watchmen,
00:54and Westworld, among others.
