00:00My name's Sarah Lyon and I'm the Audience Development Officer for Breeze, who are part of Leeds City Council.
00:05Our work is all around children and young people and providing activities and great things to do for families.
00:10We are here at Loverton Hall and this time of year is really special to us and really special to families.
00:16So we are welcoming families to come and make some magical memories that are going to last a lifetime.
00:22So there's so much to do with the Christmas experience at Loverton.
00:25There's Santa's North Pole, which is an amazing snow-filled area where families can head in, meet Mrs. Claus for the first time.
00:33She is joining Santa in that North Pole where you can join Mrs. Claus and decorate some gingerbread.
00:39Then you will go in to meet Santa in his warm, cosy cabin.
00:44I'm here in the North Pole with my little gingerbread men I've been baking.
00:49But of course, they've been so busy, I haven't had time to decorate them all, have I, Santa?
00:53Santa? No, so I really need you to come and help me and do some decorating, if you could.
01:00That's a good idea.
01:01Yes, for you.
01:02Do you think you could all come along to Loverton Hall and help the Mrs. to decorate gingerbread men?
01:08Oh, that would be so nice.
01:09Then everything will be Christmas perfect.
01:13Yes, it would be.
01:14Families can join us in our really enchanting elf village where they can do crafts, they can make their own keepsake to take home.
01:22They can toast a marshmallow by the really warm fire pit.
01:25It's lovely every year to see families coming in, smiling children, just the love and the joy of Christmas.
01:32You can really feel it here at Loverton and I think it's really lovely to see.
01:36And it's important for people to just be reminded of being together and being as a community at Christmas time.
01:43So, yeah, Loverton does help do that here at the Christmas experience.
01:46After you've helped me in the kitchen, you can come and see Mr. Claus.
01:49Of course, don't forget to come and see me.
01:55We've been so busy and all the elves wrapping all the presents, checking off the Christmas list, of course.
02:01Who so? That's what I paid them for.
02:04Oh, and you know, we've also got the beautiful light trail.
02:07We've also got the amazing Loverton Hall, which is an Edwardian hall.
02:10It's really beautiful.
02:11And this year it's decorated throughout the rooms in the most traditional Edwardian style.
02:17I don't know how many Christmas trees there are, but it would be amazing to know.
02:20So maybe that's something you could do is come and count them.
02:22But you'll see beautiful laid tables.
02:26You'll see toys from past and from present.
02:29You'll see lots of Christmas trees, huge ones and little ones.
02:33And it's a really beautiful place to come and enjoy.
02:36I've done away with the naughty list.
02:39Oh.
02:39I've got the nice list and the extra nice.
02:43Oh, my goodness.
02:45Look at that.
02:46So I suppose it's be super helpful around the house.
02:49That's right.
02:49Yes, that is definitely one of the criteria.
02:52It's kind things and you're absolutely bound to be on the nice list.
02:56You know, you know.
02:57Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
02:59Oh, oh.
02:59Oh, oh.
