Leeds: Your initial Christmas Day plans and reflections

Where will you be this Christmas Day, are you doing anything special, and what do you enjoy most about Christmas?

00:00We'll have Christmas at home and my mother-in-law's coming over to stay with us.

00:04She lives in South Africa so it's quite a long trip for her.

00:08We'll have lots of decorations, a nice meal, maybe a bit of a buffet kind of meal

00:13because people like different things.

00:15Sort of a mixture of traditional and maybe a bit more casual.

00:18This year I'm going to be at home with my family.

00:21My nana's coming over as well this time.

00:23Well, she's come over the last few years.

00:26And that's mostly what I'm looking forward to.

00:28I just enjoy spending time on Christmas.

00:30To me, that's like the most important part of it.

00:32I've never got a Christmas present, but one last year, which was by...

00:37I didn't even know that lady.

00:39She was giving out sweets and I was just standing alone

00:42because I didn't have anyone to talk to.

00:44And she just approached me and gave me a bottle of sweets.

00:47And she's like, no worry, darling, next year you won't be alone.

00:51And I didn't even say anything to her.

00:53So those lines are the best for me for Christmas, of course.

00:57I just think that Santa sent her to me.
