Transcript
00:01Kanye West is starting to back away from Trump, slams Joe Biden and is still
00:06obsessed with Drake. Plus Donald Trump reacts to Kanye's 2020 campaign run
00:10announcement. Hey guys it's Ali for Hollywood Life and you're Keeping Up
00:16with Kanye recap but before we begin hit the sub like and bell button so you can
00:20stay up to date on all the latest and follow me on social media at Ali
00:23Stegnita. Also let's play a fun game every time I say Kanye's name do one
00:27push-up. Let's see how many people are able to do. But all right Forbes magazine
00:31the new frenemy publication of the Kar Jenner family had a four-hour phone call
00:36with Ye to talk about him running for president, losing faith in Trump and
00:40having a COVID measuring contest with Drake. No seriously Kanye revealed that he
00:45had COVID back in February and said quote I remember someone told me Drake had the
00:49coronavirus and my response was Drake can't be sicker than me. Drake is living
00:52rent-free in Kanye's head even when he's bedridden. Kim's got to be jealous over
00:57this. Oh big note Kanye doesn't seem to be a fan of vaccines he said he's
01:02extremely cautious about them and describes it as the mark of the beast.
01:06Kanye also talks about people wanting to put microchips in us as if he doesn't
01:10already own a phone that collects all his data. But okay let's really dive into
01:14the topic of the 2020 election. While he's missed filing deadlines in most states
01:18Kanye wants to argue his submissions were delayed due to COVID. Kanye then
01:22mentions he wants to speak to experts Jared Kushner, Joe Biden and the White
01:26House on how to get his campaign going. Ye's current advisors are Kim Kardashian
01:31and Elon Musk who will potentially be the head of the space program if he's
01:34elected. Ye says his campaign slogan is yes. The name of his political party will
01:40be called the birthday party so I guess this means his first rally will take
01:44place at Chuck E. Cheese. Which just filed for bankruptcy if you didn't know. Wait a
01:49party next door joins the birthday party does that make him the birthday party
01:53next door? I'm starting to sound like Kanye. But okay let's talk about Kanye losing
01:57faith in the POTUS now. The artist said that he's lost confidence in Trump and
02:01didn't like hearing about him hiding in a bunker during the Black Lives Matter
02:05protests in DC. I want to say I'm surprised this is the reason he's no longer a fan but
02:10then he's also quoted saying one reason he put on a MAGA hat years ago was because
02:14he liked the Trump hotels having saxophones in the lobby. It's the little
02:19things I guess. Anyway Kanye says claims his campaign run would take away the
02:23black vote from Biden and help Trump win the campaign is a form of racism that is
02:28being charged up by the Democratic Party. He also makes it clear he was not a fan of
02:33Biden's comments on The Breakfast Club in which he said if you don't vote for me
02:36you're not really black. At some point Kanye does admit being a novice when it
02:40comes to politics and his new movement is a stepping stone for future change. He
02:44doesn't have policies he wants to implement yet but he plans on designing
02:48them if he's voted into the White House. However ending police brutality is
02:51something that is high on his to-do list. He also speaks on George Floyd's death and
02:55Jay Alexander's involvement saying he was put in an unfair position as a rookie to go
03:00up against a veteran cop who's already dealt with 18 violations during a time when
03:05people are losing their jobs because of COVID. Switching gears for a moment because
03:08it seems like Donald Trump reacted to Kanye running for president. On Tuesday
03:12before the Forbes article was released Trump told reporters at the White House
03:15that Ye's announcement was interesting and if Kanye were to run it would
03:19probably be seen as a trial run in preparation for the next four years due to
03:23his late registration. No pun intended. Well keep me posted as I'm sure there will be
03:28more interesting reactions to this Forbes article but for now hit the sub like and
03:32bell button for all the latest on your favorite celebs. Bye guys.
