00:00All right, Phil, we've talked about this ad nauseum, but it's the big news going in and you're playing a team on Monday night that has a conceivably a good pass rush.
00:12Obviously, what's on everyone's mind is the injuries. Are you hearing anything new about the two offensive line injuries?
00:18Just that it just that it will take some time here. And so, you know, the fact that they made moves yesterday, roster moves yesterday, Will Campbell didn't end up on IR.
00:26I don't think we should necessarily glean from that that, oh, well, then he'll be back within the four weeks because if he wasn't the one to go on IR, then they must feel as though he can get back sooner than that.
00:37I think there's maybe a chance of that happening. And so by not putting him on IR yet, and I guess, you know, moves still could come down depending on how he feels and what kind of pictures they have and all of that.
00:49I think it just leaves open the possibility that if for some reason it does feel like within three weeks you could get him back and you'd like to have him out there.
00:58Well, now at least you have the opportunity to do that. So with both guys, I think it's going to be a little while.
01:03And so you're going to have to lean on Josh McDaniels and Drake May to get you through.
01:09And I point out both of those guys because there are things May or excuse me, McDaniels can do schematically to help the offensive line.
01:16But let's talk about that for a second because go ahead. You're going to say the same thing.
01:20I'm going to say we were talking to Bert about this earlier. Yeah, there are things they can do, but it's just resource allocation.
01:27And you're taking away guys, whether it's going to be Hunter Henry probably isn't your best option, but he's going to be called into service, whether you're using tight ends or backs or receivers.
01:38All you're doing is taking away options for Drake May, and you're almost certainly going to have to do something like that.
01:43So schematically, what can he do that's not going to hamstring Drake May's options and weapons?
01:49Well, you're right. Hunter Henry had the career game on Sunday, and if you have to use him to block, you know, is that going to hamstring May a little bit?
01:57It could. It could, right? Your choices are basically, do you keep extra bodies into block and hope that Drake May has enough time in the pocket to find the maybe it's only two receivers out in the route, right?
02:10And your options are very limited then, and if the coverage is right, if their scheme guess is right going into that down, maybe you're screwed before the ball's even snapped to some degree.
02:20Or do you say, let's let everybody get out into the route. Let's leave a Darian low on an island, but the plan will be we'll get the ball out so quickly because we have five options to throw to that they won't be able to get into the backfield quickly enough to hit Drake May.
02:34So those are really your two options. It's a math game. And so there are things you can do in terms of just, I think, mixing it up that Josh McDaniels will be in control of.
02:45I think Drake May is going to have to, in some ways, though, be his own best protection, and that would require some change on his part in terms of his style of play.
