Russian President Vladimir Putin has landed in Kyrgyzstan, receiving one of the most elaborate and visually striking welcomes of any recent state visit. As Putin’s plane touched down in Bishkek, a full red-carpet ceremony, traditional dancers, honor dogs, and even a symbolic eagle were on display — part of Kyrgyzstan’s grand preparations for the visit. President Sadyr Japarov personally greeted Putin on arrival, with state protocol teams, ceremonial guards, and cultural performers lining the runway. The state visit precedes the upcoming CSTO Summit, where regional security, military cooperation, and Eurasian geopolitics will be high on the agenda.
