03:20Going back to Sunday, Nikhil Alexander-Walker made the game-saving defensive play.
03:25And in our Kaiser Permanente all-access, Madison Hawk caught up with Nikhil in the locker room.
03:31Five seconds to play. Hawks up two. How'd you come up with the stop?
03:35Just focusing on personnel. Just knowing that Kinn-Hupp was a capable shooter.
03:40So I noticed. Almost had a switch miscommunication error.
03:45And last minute was able to close out.
03:48Just playing to read. I know I had a few swipe down fouls early.
03:51And I kind of trusted it. More times than not, I get those.
03:56So I just kind of stuck to my guns.
03:58And in that moment, just so instinctual.
04:01Kind of reading the play. Knowing that when he spins, where the ball was going to be.
04:04And just trying to make a play.
04:07And he's made a ton of plays for the Hawks, particularly on the road.

04:41Getting set for the tip-off tonight between the Hawks and the Wizards.
04:45First of four regular season matchups between the two Southeast Division foes.
04:50And of course, this is an NBA Cup game tonight.
04:53Let's take a look at our starting lineups.
04:55Our Toyota lineups for the Hawks.
04:58And we begin with Chris Stapps-Corsengas being back in the lineup tonight.
05:02After sitting out the home game with Charlotte,
05:04he'll be joined by Zachary Resishay and Jalen Johnson
05:07with Nikhil Alexander-Walker and Dyson Daniels in the backcourt.
05:11Washington has to shake up the lineup again.
05:13A couple of guys out.
05:15So they will go with McCollum and Kispert in the backcourt.
05:18Koulibaly at the three.
05:19Middleton and Alex Saar in that starting lineup.
05:22The Wizards have won only one game.
05:25They come in having lost 14 consecutive games, 1-15 overall.
05:30But this is a team you must respect, particularly at home.
05:34And that brings us to our forward keys to the game.
05:36And I really think, Nik, one of the matchups to look for tonight
05:39is you talked about Alex Saar, how he matches up with Chris Stapps-Corsengas.
05:44He's going to be a big key.
05:45It really is.
05:46And he is playing so much better.
05:48So what KP has to make him work a little bit on the defensive end
05:52to win that matchup.
05:53Secondly, that impacts that.
05:55The Hawks three-point shooting.
05:56If they continue to shoot at a very high clip,
05:59that's going to spread the defense out
06:00where you're going to get a lot of open looks.
06:03And the X-factor tonight, I believe, is going to be Zachary Reese to Shea.
06:06I'm looking for a breakout game for him.
06:08And if he does that, Bob, this is going to be an easy game for the Hawks.
06:12And he matches up against his countrymen in Koulibaly, so that will be fun to watch.

06:23Jalen Johnson has done such a masterful job orchestrating into Corzickas.

11:18It is time once again for know your foe and there's no sugarcoating.
11:22The Wizards are off to an atrocious start at 1-15.
11:26Two losses away from matching the franchise's worst-ever losing streak, which was 16 games.
11:33They're on pace for the worst season in league history in wins and net rating.
11:37However, they're incredibly young.
11:39Ten players, 22 or younger on the roster.
11:42That's the most in the NBA.
11:44And there are reasons for optimism here.
11:45The early reviews for rookie Trey Johnson, the number six pick who's unavailable tonight, have been very positive.
11:51And Alexander Saar, the second pick last summer, is the leading scorer among second-year players with shooting efficiency numbers that are up significantly from last season.
12:00And, oh, Bob and Nick, I'd be remiss if I didn't say, oh, and C.J. McCollum can still shoot the basketball.
12:05Yeah, three threes in 90 seconds.
12:08A test to that.
12:09And the Porzingis miss gives Washington another shot at it.
12:12And a foul coming on Atlanta.
12:14Well, the Wiley veteran there, Middleton, got, you know, Jason up in the air.
12:23Actually, Jalen takes that bump and almost gets that one to go.
12:28But, you know, he's been around the block a few times.
12:34So, Jalen Johnson sending Chris Middleton to the line.
