00:00If you're building a home studio on a $500 budget, these are my top recommendations for
00:04you with the total cost at the end. First, the interface. This is the centerpiece of your studio
00:09where everything connects. My choice is the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen. Next, we need a
00:15microphone. My favorite budget choice is the Rode NT1 Signature Series, which I'm recording my
00:21voiceover through right now, and it sounds amazing. This mic includes a shock mount and a pop filter,
00:26but we need to get our own mic stand, and this one on Amazon by Pyle is my go-to. You'll also want
00:31some speakers when you're producing, mixing, and mastering, and these Mackie CR 3.5 studio monitors
00:37pack a powerful punch for only $99 a pair and connect via quarter-inch, aux cord, or Bluetooth.
00:44Can't hear yourself while you're recording without some headphones, and these Sennheiser
00:47HD280 Pro are an excellent choice for this budget. Of course, we'll need a MIDI controller,
00:52and this Akai MPK Mini covers all the bases. We have our entire studio setup, but nothing is
00:57connected, so we need some cables. My favorite brand is Kanari. For this setup, we need two speaker
01:02cables and one microphone cable. If we buy most of our gear used, our total cost comes just under
01:07our budget at $404. And if we buy everything at retail price, our total is nearly twice as much
01:13at $695.
01:15$695.
