00:09This is what you need to know when choosing a processor, storage, and RAM. Apple processors

00:14start with the letter M and are followed by a number that represents which generation it's

00:18from. After that, you'll see a word like Pro, Max, or Ultra, which is important because it divides

00:22the different speeds from each generation. Do not skimp out on your processor if you make music or

00:27videos for a living. Next, you have storage, which is also known as SSD or hard drive space. If you

00:33produce music, I recommend at least one terabyte of storage. If you produce high quality video,

00:37I recommend two or more terabytes of storage. All the computers in my studio have four terabytes of

00:42storage. Basically, the more apps, plugins, and files you have, the more storage you need. Finally,

00:47you need to choose your RAM. This is a great area because some situations benefit from a RAM upgrade,

00:52while others benefit more from your processor. If you use lots of samplers or virtual instruments

00:57with large audio libraries, RAM will definitely help. If you edit videos with big file sizes and

01:02long footage, RAM will also definitely help. I recommend at least 16 gigabytes for small music

01:07projects or 32 gigabytes if you do bigger sessions. Last, you need to choose whether a desktop or a

01:13laptop Mac is right for you. If you're traveling, using mobile setups, or working between multiple

01:17studios, the MacBook Pro is an easy recommendation. But if you're like me and do pretty much all your work
