00:00Bert, who should the Patriots? Well, let's start here. How much did the Patriots take a hit on
00:05Sunday with their injuries that they suffered? I think the Will Campbell one's a big one.
00:10Look, I really, I think like people, I've heard people say over the last few years that left
00:17tackle isn't as important as it used to be. And I wholly disagree because what I've seen
00:22over my years covering the league is I've seen offensive lines that don't have a left tackle
00:29feel like they have nothing. And when they lose their left tackle, like the Lions, for example,
00:35this year, Taylor Decker has been, he's 10 years, great player, but been in the league 10 years beat
00:40up and their line hasn't been the same. Why? Because the left tackle position isn't tied up.
00:45You know, Trent Williams in San Francisco, the Niners don't have great offensive linemen outside
00:50Trent Williams, but they have a hall of fame left tackle. And that makes it much easier to fill all
00:55the other positions. Same thing, like Andrew Whitworth, all those years with the Rams,
01:00like the Rams were awful on the offensive line before he got there. And once they got Whitworth,
01:06all of a sudden the issue went away. And I think that's sort of happened here, right?
01:10Like the offensive line was a big problem over the last few years. What's the biggest difference?
01:15You didn't, yeah, they signed him from Cincinnati. Sean McVay got there. The first thing he did,
01:21one of the first things he did was sign Whitworth. And so like, I think the biggest difference when
01:26you're looking at where the Patriots are this year is that left tackle, like as far as the
01:30offensive line goes, is left tackle is not a problem anymore. And it makes it so much easier
01:35to fill those other four positions if you have that taken care of. So I think this is a problem.
