00:00The Pentagon is looking into what it's calling quote serious allegations of misconduct against
00:05Arizona Democratic Senator Mark Kelly. The investigation revolves around the recent video
00:10I talked about here on the pod. Kelly and five of his Democratic colleagues in Congress shared it
00:14online, suggesting that members of the military should refuse orders from commanding officers
00:19if those orders were illegal. President Trump called the video seditious, which is a crime
00:24punishable by death. The Department of War has now launched an investigation. Secretary Pete
00:29Hegseth saying in a statement, quote, this matter will be handled in compliance with military law,
00:34ensuring due process and impartiality. All service members are reminded that they have a legal
00:39obligation under the Uniform Code of Military Justice to obey lawful orders and that orders
00:45are presumed to be lawful. Hegseth explained on X that Kelly is the only one of the, as he called
00:50them, seditious six who falls under the department's jurisdiction because he retired as a naval officer.
